National Make a Will Month is Your Chance to Leave a Legacy
This August, as part of National Make a Will Month, we are inviting you to think about your legacy and the difference you can make in the lives of people in Larimer County. At the Food Bank for Larimer County, our vision is a hunger-free Larimer County. Together, we can ensure no one goes hungry.
Creating a will is an incredibly personal, significant decision, allowing you to determine what happens to your assets upon your passing. Not only does it give you long-term control over your financial legacy, but it provides an opportunity to contribute to causes close to your heart, even beyond your time.
Please consider leaving bequest in your will to Food Bank for Larimer County. Simply get in touch with a lawyer to add a bequest designation to an existing will or to create a new will. Visit our website for more guidance.

How it Works: Food Rescue and Food Safety

Our Food Rescue Route Drivers visit up to 30 retailers every day to rescue food and bring it back to our no-cost markets. This brings in 3 to 4 million pounds a year and makes up 1/3 of our inventory. It's thanks to these efforts that we can prevent food from being wasted, all while giving a greater variety to our clients.

Sweet partnership: Local dentistry's candy buyback supports volunteers, hunger-relief programs

Nutrition is such an important part of dental health. Thankfully, we have amazing partners like Pediatric Dentistry of the Rockies! Every Halloween, they host a candy buyback. Kids can get cash for contributing their candy. The dentistry then donates the candy to the Food Bank to give to our volunteers! The dentistry also matches the pounds of candy contributed with a monetary donation, further...

The Food Bank partners with nearly 130 nonprofit partners to distribute food out into the community. Together, we're reaching more than 46,000 food-insecure people. It's through this partnership that the Food Bank is able to help its partners, including those in rural and mountain areas, provide no-cost markets for their own communities.
The Food Bank is turning 40!

2024 marks the Food Bank's 40th anniversary! Throughout the year, we'll be celebrating distributing food that has provided so much more than nutrition. Food unites us all and is a source of comfort, love, tradition and so much more. Everyone deserves these experiences and having enough food to thrive. We're proud to have served our community for four decades!
