130606 EXO-K Baby Don't Cry (인어의 눈물/The Mermaid's Tears) live [eng sub]
I realize watching them perform along with reading lyrics gave me a tons of feels so I subbed it in English ;; (I am sure most of you know by now that it is based on the classic fairytale The Little Mermaid)
I couldn't find a translation on internet that satisfy me so I translate it from scratch myself with reference to another Korean to Chinese translation (My Korean skills is just not there yet lol). Translating this requires a lot of interpretion and there are challenges involve balancing the original wording and making sure the flow isn't confusing in English so forgive me I can never do the original justice ;~; BUT I TRYY
I also edited mbc bora version and the radio recording version of the audio bc they both have some better and worse bits eg the noise from the bora is kinda loud but their live sounds more authentic(also for some reasons baek seem to sound better in that version).
'The inspiration of this song is 《The Little Mermaid》(1837). When the little mermaid turn 15, she falls in love with a prince. She asks Sea Witch to give her legs in exchange for her tongue. She hopes prince could marry her but fails. If she kill the prince with the knife, she will become a mermaid again. But when she stands in front of his bed, she could not bear to do that. When the sun rises, her body dissolves into foam.
In the song 《Baby Don't Cry》, the prince doesn't sleep, he wakes up and asks her to kill himself'

THESE are 4 vocalists who are on a whole other level that isn't reached by many! Every one of them has a different, distinctive sound but are able to easily harmonize perfectly! These 4 have the most stunning voices! They are on a whole other level that not too many can be! A couple others, imo, Yesung, Kyuhyun. I haven't listened to a lot of groups but, of course, there are others. I love how they are amazing solo & amazing together...perfect harmonies! 💕💕

I know nothing technical about music. I DO know what I feel is the most extraordinary voices! My Gosh their harmonies are stunning! These 4 plus Kyuhyun & Yesung are at the top of my list. They always tug at my heart & at times, bring a tear! Love this! 💜💜
