Western New York Mini Bike Club Mini Bike Adventure
The members of the WNYMBC loaded up their bikes and headed out into the woods to camp for the night at Tall Pines ATV Park. Everything needed for the 24hr+ period was strapped to our machines and backs and toted through the trails (minus the ice cream stop.)

    Is the choke supposed to flutter and move like that? Mine stays in one position and my engine isn't running good

    • @seanhendrick6074
      @seanhendrick6074 2 роки тому

      I’m by no means an expert on it but I believe It’s supposed to be able to move to restrict or allow airflow. In the video he may have been playing with it causing it to move but not positive.

      Unless you’re trying to start your boat with temperatures below 40°F you do not need a choke! What most people do not realize is that these carburetors were never meant to run with modern day fuels! I have a 4.3 V6 in my boat with a 2 barrel Rochester with all of the choke components removed, I have never had an issue firing up my engine!

    • @sqlb3rn
      @sqlb3rn Рік тому

      @@NeverEnoughPyro40 man I hear that, my boat is running great now, and only has problems starting when it's cold and the choke is closed. I always have to manually open the choke after priming the throttle a few times. Here in AL so it's always hot.

    I bought my boat used it sat 3 yrs prior, bought new battery it fired up n purred, took it out on water and after couple hrs it wouldn’t start, got it running with pouring fuel in carb but kept stalling at idle, it still is stalling if try to idle, did full tune up n installed electric fuel pump still stalling, I’m thinking junk in carb, oh my cab is always full open n not closed n flapping like his I noticed??

    • @seanhendrick6074
      @seanhendrick6074 3 роки тому

      His issue ended up being electrical. I can’t remember the exact timeline now but his boat sunk at his dock prior to this I believe. For your issue, since it sat 3 years, it sounds like a plugged carb. I’m not so sure about boat motors but for other smaller motors (atv, mower, chainsaw, etc) a lot of times the fuel lines will get clogged from the tank to the carb so double check you’re getting adequate flow into the carb. Hope that helps some.

    Looks like you have that choke set to pure rich. Mercarb should be set to lean and adjust from there. The heater to the left in the video with the 1 wire is where you adjust. unscrew the 3 screws a little and turn that all the way to the right and the choke will open more. then tighten and start it and just keep adjust that from there. It's just choking itsself out is what is happening.

    Finally got a minute to stop and start watching some videos. If that is the RZR we were talking about. It does look familiar. Though I saw so many of them while there....the memory is just not functioning as it should. May be some parts of the trip are a blur. lol. Great video of some winter riding at Tall Pines though! Kinda wish I had made it down for SNUD. Some friends were down there for it but I just couldn't get the time off from work and the bike was still not completely finished yet. So all focus has been staying close to home and getting that done. Going to start doing some regular videos now of this riding season?

    • @seanhendrick6074
      @seanhendrick6074 6 років тому

      It would have been worth the trip, 14in of snow or more in some places. But the trails were mostly packed down. This was my 4th or 5th year making it down for it. Yeah I’m gonna try to get back at posting videos again. I film every time we ride and have a lot more footage from this ride (and from other activities.) But my laptop is pushing 10years old and doesn’t like to cooperate with me anymore most of the time. I hope to get a new one in the next month though. I could post non-edited videos but I’m not a huge fan of the long gaps of nothing in some of the footage.

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz 6 років тому

      Sean Hendrick 14in of snow is definitely a workout to plow through. Lol. I’m looking at having my friend build me a desktop for editing. My laptop should last me another season but it too is aging. 5 years old...but I did upgrade the ram and get an external hard drive which helped out a ton! Tower is definitely the way to go though...plus if you know anyone that can build them. It’s the cheapest route as well. I agree with ya on the non edited videos. It’s nice to skip through the “blah” stuff and get right to the goodies. I’m working on another channel right now. Leaving one for the longer videos to give people a fuller experience of the trails...so they can see what they are like before making a long haul to ride them. The other channel will be videos edited to show mostly all the fun and action sections :-). I will put it on my list for next year! SNUD for sure.

      It is pretty sad I am having withdrawls. I went there for the first time last year for Farm Fest weekend...I am pretty sure I was hooked the moment my truck and trailer hit dirt on our way to our campsite. LOL. The place is simply AWESOME! Doesn't hurt when you go with a great group of friends either. You go there often?

    • @seanhendrick6074
      @seanhendrick6074 6 років тому

      North Country Boyz Yeah we have a good group of people. We usually go to the Snud run and then 2-3 more times each year. We’re only 1.5hrs away so normally only camp during one of the trips. But I avoid the place during the Memorial and Labor Day events, too many people so you’re constantly caught in a line and waiting for people to move out of the way.

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz 6 років тому

      That's awesome! I wish I was only 1.5 hours away from there! Surprisingly during the Memorial Day weekend....I can say we never once ran into that issue. Even with our Saturday ride when we had something like 70 people in our group. Seems like the majority of people that were there stuck close to the drag races and mud bog.

    • @seanhendrick6074
      @seanhendrick6074 6 років тому

      North Country Boyz Damn that’s insane. I thought we were doing good with 10 machines. Next time you’re there make sure you check out cow path if you haven’t already. It’s across the street from the “starting line.” Normally deep water and plenty of mud.

      roy preston Agreed, it's a nice place to ride and the people are all very friendly and helpful. But anyways, the track is off of Pingrey Hill Rd (the big hill you go up right before getting to the barn) The easiest way to find it is to take the road from the barn and you'll see it off on your left as you start down the hill. Paste this (42.173406, -77.816686) into google maps and it'll drop a pin on it.
