Pretty cool. They remind me of lamb of God , in how the guitar players bounce off of each other. It's really cool to see
Охреневаю от этих звуков! Слушаю Корн около 20 лет. Невероятное видео! Кто в теме, те поймут!
Head has such a huge distorted tone it sounds like bombs going off 😂
All these years later and it's still terrible!
Yet somehow they are world-famous innovative musicians while you're doing pick reviews with 150 views.
That tone, what the fuck?!? That shit blast my ear
1:05 name track please 😯

1:31 heavy ass riff !
BRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and then of course the clean channel, which is FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRFFFWWGGGGHRRR
2:26 FUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HASTA EL SE DA CUENTA QUE ES UNA GUASADA ESE SONIDO
0:27 what is that riff?
Towards the ending of Shoots and Ladders
1:30 so fucking good
What year was this

Shoots and Ladders
I came back to this now. This video had such a huge impact on young me. Had just discovered korn and when i saw this video Head was The coolest guy ive seen. I started to dress like him. Unfortenatly i lost my hair at a very young age so i couldnt get The hair :( but i got me an ibanez and I play The guitar way better then him today. But i dont got hes millions, life or hair🤣
Where can I get complete video.
16-20 seconds in the video is my favorite. Been watching this vid for years just for that sound.
0:27 Finally I know the riff is 3-2-0-0-2-2-1-1 ..... 3-2-0-0-2-1
Man brians guitar produces a shit amount of bass and he ain't even the bassist no wonder they're so heavy
My band has watched korn p.o.d. coal chamber rammstein etc
I love this generation !!!!
19 people are pissed they dont have a 7 string guitar :)
This is why Korn always comes up with awesome music, these guys can turn any noise the guitar makes into something, then comes John, with his unique voice, then Fieldy with his bass slapping then David with the groove drumming. 👌
You're aware that David hasn't been with the band since 2006, right?
Yea but this vídeo was shot before that.
But david will always be in my head,...im a fan since im 12-13,.1998-99,..and i just luv the records till take a look...... for me,david is still in band,..
1:30 oh, it's killing me
0:37 Greatest thing i ever seen and heard!
Lol really?
yeah. i so much prefer simple shit like that instead of crazy complex insane shredding
@@wm1573 I mean I can appreciate that but it doesn’t have to be crazy insane complex shredding but I just feel like they are so much more talented than they put out. They are obviously going for a certain sound and they’ve nailed it for like 30 years but I just kinda wish a lot of their stuff wasn’t mostly relient on crazy effects and pedals. When you take all that away, the actual chords and chord progression is almost like hardly any effort was put into it. Y’a know? I love korn, I grew up on korn but I wanna see what these guys can really do.
@@greenblackswerl yes I see that too. but isn't that the case with most electric guitar riffs? Take away the amp / pedals and it sounds like shit 😂 at least for metal / heavier music. I don't think It would really fit Korn if they tried something technical. That's the "bad" thing being in a band that has that established sound that people want. You really "can't" experiment. If you look at faith no more. They just do what ever they want and people will like it because the listeners don't really have any certain expectations. With bands like Korn and Slipknot etc, there is not that freedom you know
@@wm1573 some riffs yeah I can see that. Rammstien for example. So simple but so good. Awesome you mention faith no more because Patton is one of the best musicians ever imo you ever listen to mr bungle?
What the...
Have these guys ever heard of an acoustic guitar?
This is korn they dont use acoustic
@@chazi2106 but they did play unplugged tho
Wtf with your comment, if you want to hear acoustic, go to another place
2:20 is dirty AF!
Name song?
I don't know why they've abandoned this sound in their recenet albums. I loved everthing these guys played back in the days, probably up until head left.. Without head I could understand why they didn't play like in the old days, but even after he got back they never returned to the old sound. I dont mean they should write the same way like in the 90s and copy themselves, but its just the sound, the tune, the heaviness.. It's totally viped out in recent albums.
Have you really listened to their last 2 records? they're essentially sequels to what they were doing on Issues and Untouchables man.
I asked the same thing
You're wrong but ok lmao
True I love this sound
The serenity of siffering has old school korn sound.
They always musically perfectly complemented each other!
I kinda always thought they are two parts of one body, of one guitar player. Separated they aren't something special, but together they're SPECIAL. One starts a riff, the other finishes it, giving something new, but still staying in the same groove, same wavelength.. Like they're one mind. You don't find that kind of chemistry in no other band.
Jure Primorac yea I thought only one song was good off heads solo album. They just mesh! Me and me old bands lead guitarist had this but on a of course less amazing scale. Shit just clicked like finishing another persons sentence. I've never seen it more then these two!
You think? Maybe they should start a band!!
I want to learn how to play got the life just like that
2019,still untouchable
2021 still untouchable
A lot of this untouchability is cuz of their awesome starting records,.like peachy,.debut and follow,..ok issues too,...but i guess without those records, the Fundament wouldnt be so untouchable,. For my taste,.the records after take a look in the mirror ,.aint fabulous
@@_-_-_-Prof.BoskoBiathi-_-_-_ I agree with you for the most part. Korn had to evolve tho, even if you didn't like anything Post Head leaving. I thought TPOT was a mistake & Untitled was half great, other than that Munk did a good job.
Nice!
what amp was munky using. cause holy shit it sounds smooth as fuck
for what?
"Of course the clean channel..."🤔
everybody is a bass player
jhill0962 lol XD
Do they use fuzz?
Digitech whammy pedal set to octave down but its mixing with their regular tone so you're hearing both mixed.
Age matter 90s to 2018
it shouldn't be surprising, but im actually surprised how god of technique they actually have.... look at that muting
head was always so hi
i been a korn fan since 94 ,, and still my favorite band, 24 years listening korn, so shutt tha fuck up
@@arielcalzada8362 lol that person deleted their comment.
Munky is rhythm guitarist Head is lead guitarist
Yes that's right Head was fast and super talented and Munk got the rythm too really good!
There is no lead, dumbass.
@@MrParkerman6 yep, I'd say you can't put korn into that rhythm-lead box.. their way of playing is totally unique, it's like they're 2 hands of the same body, both equally important. They're almost like one guitatist, I can't see the connection they have in no other band.
Whats da exactly different?? i mean it seems both do same,..sometimes munky intro,..sometimes head,..or bridge,..for me it seems they changing..i can hear it on my stereo,..when i play the first record or peachy u can hear the different chanels,.in each music box,.and it seems that not a clear pattern is to find among the boys
At 0:34 I love that sound

@@laurelave118 wrong*. Freak on A leash
Anyone know what distortion pedal they use?
Mikke Durling The distortion from their Diezel and Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier amps.
like two soul brothers
All my effect pedals and guitar from 90 and 2000s are still better then all the shit out now.
Its total oversaturation-madness these days.Like a song?Get the PU's for it.Everybody who sold a CD has a signiture Guitar n Amp.Modeling,Profiling,Hybrids,Solid-states,Valves,Effects...I looked for a good high gain Pickup, it drove me insane.Gimme a break...20 Years ago i got my Ibanez RG550 and a Marshall plus a Tubescreamer and your good to play a gig.
