Saw you ( from what I can remember smashed on the dirty brown stuff) at V98 at Temple Newsam Leeds touring the Urban Hymns album. How good was that record. Soundtrack to my mid 20s. Bittersweet Symphony and Lucky Man sounded incredible. Now I do remember those tunes! Also saw you solo at Stafford V2000 think it was tuning up the Friday afternoon. Think it was same weekend Joe Strummer was on. Seen you many times. Epic times. Rock Legend. Bet I’m not the only one to mooch down a high street in a pair of Clarks Originals Wallabees or Desert Treks, in my case, and not move for anyone with Bitter Sweet Symphony belting out of my “Walkman “😂. Never worked for me.

Worked on the docks from 1967 to 1993. was a radio / radar engineer hopping off and on ships on the North wall, Fish docks, South Quay etc. Met some great people in all the trqdes. Shipwrights, blacksmiths, electricians, riggers, all employed by the different trawler companies. The Jubilee Cafe was a focal point for a cuppa and a bacon sandwich
