Quick and Easy 10th Edition Leviathan Tyranids Painting Guide
nice video guide m8 how long do you leave Grime on and dry in?
This looks awsome. I just bought myself a starter army set of Drukhari. Could you make a quick tutorial or write some easy steps for a look like that?
@@Kill3r40K done and done ✅ when I’m back from work this afternoon I’ll write it down for you. Plus a video on them couldn’t hurt 🤣
@@warpstormwarmaster Have you writen it down so far?
damn the closeup shots look magnificent :D what lens did you use for those?
@@romet444 thanks I’m glad you liked them 🙇🏻♂️ the lens I’m using is a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens.
I've never seen leather done like that before and it honestly blew me away. It looks so awesome and very easy to do. Thank you.
@@marellkow Glad you liked it! I did 2 coats of the contrast paint to get it the darkness I wanted. So it’s good for light or dark leather.
After 25 years away from the hobby I came back and decided Black Templars through the Insta algorithm I’m here and subscribed this video just made me question my approach but in a good way Thanks for that 🤣
@@mattpiper5921 welcome back to the hobby brother! Thanks for the support!!!
Do Dark Angels next!
Excellent idea! I very much will do a video on dark angels…. Just need to think up a good scheme 🤔
I've liked warhammer for a long time and space marine II finally pushed me over the edge into actually buying some minis to paint, it's my first set and I'm going for black templars
Welcome to the crusade brother! If you need any help with anything let me know, always happy to help!
Cant wait too watch you paint up some sword brethren and crusader squads great video mate.
@@Wolish 100% brother!
Great tutorial. The model turned out awesome. I am suffering from burnout at the moment, but not with painting. It's the game that's got me down. I'm playing a non-Ultramarine codex compliant chapter right now. The game is just bad. There's no other way to put it. Anyway. Awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing!
@@Paranormal-Stupidity thanks for the comments! And sorry to hear the game has you down, just remember to try and have fun and don’t take it too seriously because rule’s come and go 😃
@@warpstormwarmaster I am waiting for the current rules to go. I'm hoping the points update will bring some positive changes later this month. Fingers crossed.
Hi any 2nd hand minis in Europe or Ireland website as the one in face book market only has necrons
returns?
😅 Jesus…… how did I miss that, must of been very tired when I posted this vid at 3am to get in done in time for the pre order release. Thanks for picking that up
Big fan, that model is epic. I think we can all agree that the right hand chainsword is cannon.
That looks awesome. You've got some skills. I like your Titus more than the official model. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you. Thanks for sharing!!
Horus heresy all started from wanting to remove left handed people, I support this decision
Does it work on resin as well? I used isopropanol the other day which works great on plastic and metal but eats up resin
@@8bitbonsai works great with stripping paint off resin aswell, just will need to be more careful when cleaning and scrubbing the paint off as resin is sometimes more fragile. I also use it when cleaning forge world resin to get prepped for painting.
Great paint job and skills!
@@deanwilliams433 thanks very much!!!!!!
The only thing I would alter to your recipe would be using Striking Scorpion instead of Warp Lightning. It's much more... STRIKING! It's a lot brighter so it stands out in the metallic lunacy that is a Berzerker model. It really makes it look like it's glowing. That said, I love watching videos of the standard World Eater's color scheme. This was a dope tutorial. I love seeing the results of the enamels on my army so I am able to gauge if I want to use that particular enamel paint. But these tutorials always make me wish I didn't restart my army during 7th's Daemonkin codex. Makes me wish I didn't go with The Wrath. They look rad as hell, but they take so long to paint.
@@Ryuondo might have to actually pick some up and give it a go! A bit of variety never hurt. And yeah I love the Wrath scheme a lot.
looks really good 😊
@@Dumbellcrusher thanks very much!!! Glad you like it
Dude, you have no idea how hard it is to find recent videos of good painting tutorials for this faction hell some of them are more then a year old. Let me just say well done and you definitely earned yourself a subscriber looking forward to seeing more content in the future.
@@alderonsabbet7217 thanks very much!!! Glad you enjoyed it. Will be posting more content soon.
I know the effect you're going for with the 3 greens in the beginning, but it looks so grey on the video for some reason, shame! Either way, awesome video!
Mate, this is a lovely result. The blood recipe is terrific, and so are the gloves. Your production values are terrific, and you are putting a lot of love into these vids.
@@tremolo_painter thanks man! Glad you liked it 👌🏻. Means a lot hearing positive feedback.
Oh man what a perfectly timed video! I just got a great deal on Facebook marketplace, $425 for a whole Thousand sons army that is primed with only 10 models painted but everything is assembled. This is my first 40k army and first wargame. Thank you for the tips and great paint job on the mini!
That’s awesome man! Welcome to the hobby. Would love to see your thousand sons when you paint them up. Feel free to join the discord and show us your work. Or even if you just want to talk anything hobby.
They look fucking nice
How long is best to leave the streaking grime before removing with Q-tip? some vids say 10 mins it looks like you leave it for longer?
Hey cyborgbadger. I generally leave it until it’s fully dry to the touch. So depending on how much you use. But I’d say about 15 to 30 minutes. Tho you can speed up the process with a hairdryer. Normally about 5 minutes with one of them if you’re looking to save time. Just remember you looking for it to be completely dry in the recesses.
But can the simple green be reused? If not, then don't we have to account for the price of it too?
Simple green can be re used. I generally keep all of it in a container once used. And just add models accordingly.
@@warpstormwarmaster Thank you!
😮quiero unooooooo
Very nice :)
Thanks very much!
Awesome mate! Thanks for the info! Off to Bunnings now to pick up some Simple Green to strip this old Land Raider that I have from my days playing 3rd Edition 40K.
Bro dont be afraid to leave some black in the shadows, just a little will punch up the contrast.
That turned out great. I've never been brave enough to strip a miniature before. I was always worried that the plastic would melt, but that stuff you are using seems great. This really is a video that everyone in this hobby needs to see. Really enjoying the content. Thanks for sharing!
Once again thanks for the ongoing support, it means the world to me, and I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Nice one bro !
Thanks very much bro!!
Love the video bro ❤🔥 working on painting my Custom Chaos Chosen .... big fail ahaha 😅I might need to just practice more painting then building ahaha 😂😅 .
Hahahahaha what happened to the chosen! Tho hopefully can all be fixed.
@@warpstormwarmaster nothen to bad just forgot to shake primer and well cracks and stuff everywhere ahaha 😅 fixable.... everything is fixable.... as you demonstrate perfectly hear 👌 🔥
Great tutorial. You really nailed the Death Guard look with this one. That base looks great too. Thanks for sharing!!
That is awesome terrain you have made there. I actually have the exact same brand of plaster for making my terrain. I mixed it with shredded toilet paper and sculped some cliff faces with it. Love the tutorials. These videos are great quality. Thanks for sharing!
Hahahahaha very nice!!!! Gonna pinch that idea of the cliff faces hahaha
That looks great. Really enjoyed this tutorial. I've been wanting to start a World Eaters Combat Patrol, but I was worried about all of the gold trim. I'm starting to think it won't be so bad. Thanks for sharing!!!
Yeah the trim is definitely the longest part of painting them up
Just found this channel. You did an awesome job with those tyranids. These videos have awesome production value. Now I have to watch the rest of the stuff you have posted. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! More videos are getting posted each week (well trying to post weekly 😅).
Why do 3 coats of anything to cover it entirely with a technical color?
Which part specifically are you taking about? Am always happy to give more details ☺️
Just found you through insta! Good job on the paint work, I've just got myself 20 of these guys and will use your paint scheme 😁
Hey thanks!!!! Glad you liked the paint scheme. If you have any questions or anything please feel free to ask! Am more than happy to provide assistance. And when you Finnish one of them would love to see a photo! Link to the discord in the video description 🤙🏻
Incredible work. You deserve way more attention sir!
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
How did you get the purple to look black in some areas or dose it just naturally dry like that
So with leviathan purple contrast paint it drys darker in the recesses. So it goes almost like a black color.
Oh ok cool. I'm very new to this so thought you had to do something else but thats awesome it drys like that. How thick a layer did you put on mate
@@jedibateman9452 I painted it pretty much straight from the pot. But didn’t flood the brush and made shore it still kept a tip.Make shore you give the pot a good shake first.
Thanks for the advice mate. Appreciate it. You've painted it really well
We strike from the shadows
Sororitas are the best!
Hi there which streaking grime did you use for this im unsure what a good one to use is thanks and I have subbed 👍
In this video I used AK INTERACTIVE Streaking Grime AK012. Hope this helps!
Ur a legend, using this for a plague Ogryn
Thanks very much, and I’m glad I can help! If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
Excellent guide thank you. Easy to follow and really appreciate you showing each step of the way and explaining the options you have available
Can you Apply varnish before or after you have coated with streaking grime or should you not use varnish at all ? Im consider of buying streaking grime for my ork army
Is it true that if you use a varnish before applying streaking grime when using white spirits it won’t whipe off the paint job?
I didn’t use any varnish before applying the streaking grime on this model and was able to get all the grime off I needed. And the paint job underneath wasn’t effected. Tho using a gloss varnish protects the paint job more efficiently than not using it.
After using it Av wash or st..crime or I have to apply something so that is not easy to remove with my fingers.please tell me 😮
This is amazing! I saved this as a guide to paint my new world eaters army. Please make more world eaters content haha :)
Hahaha thank you very much! I actually have a lot of them to paint up at the moment. So I’ll film a dedicated video to how I paint one with each step.
@@warpstormwarmaster yaaaaaay glad to heart that! I’m looking forward to seeing your finished army on display one day :)
