This is the best description on why not to buy a Nissan Altima. I can imagine the rest of the car isn't designed to work on either. I've changed water pumps, starters, done brakes etc. SO..First of all, the kids car passenger headlight was out. filler tube and tank out (no problem) that dust cap was the first problem. I had to smack a screw driver against those plastic ears, back and forth, back and forth before it finally let loose. there's hardly enough room for a light and one hand. Second problem, those wires were glued on with moisture and corrosion. There was no wiggling them lose (10 minutes of wiggling) (back to the garage) 10"long pair of needle nose plyers finally did the trick. Back in it goes (ha) Figuring out that stupid wire and for the grand finale...holding that grounding plate and fiddling with that, while steadying the light and fiddly wire. While positioning the ground plate the wire fell back down and before it was over the ground plate came off, spun around the kinky wire and disappeared. 15 minutes with a bright light searching anywhere it could possibly be over and over and Over. I'm convinced it dropped into the windshield tank. Now I'm searching for a replacement on ebay. I'm convinced a monkey could design a way better way. I've had 6 vehicles and changed 10-15 headlights and that is the stupidist contraption way to power a headlight of all of them.

thanks dave this saved me a few bucks! shops quoted me $60 to $120 to fix. did the passenger side headlight and it was even easier than this! ~$20 for the light and I just had to move the coolant tank to get to the headlight. took me 10 mins!

What idiot engineer designed a car that you have to disassemble part of the car to just change a headlight bulb. Why didn't the design it to be simpler to replace the bulb? It's as if they intentionally designed the car so you would have to take it into the dealership so you would pay $200 to get a $10 lightbulb change.

Wow great instructions. With the tags even a senile person wearing baseball mitt on both hands could complete this task. Why not remove transmission or start at back remove muffler and the entire exhaust no tools just body weight hanging swinging on it until separates from hangers, working slowly to the front of car, arriving at the headlight assembly LOFL

FYI. There is no need to remove the air intake box. Simply removing the air filter box is more than enough, and removing the other will not buy you any more space. There is a big risk of breaking the button clamps by removing them, especially if they are not the same as the ones in the video. Mine were not, and I broke one. Not a big deal. Great video with really good explanation, though!

You ca n do all this for whatever God forsaken reason lol, or you could just pop out the headlight represent the bulb and put it back in. This video is genius lol 😂😂😂😂
