My father had a W123 200D taxi. Top build quality but holly cow.. it was slow. Almost dangerously slow.

70% OF these cars in Ghana where ordered from factory. Folks back in the day where not buying used Mercedes vehicles. R.T Briscoe sold Brand new cars here those days. They even had an assembly plant for other Mercedes vehicles. "Old 123s" Mostly ended up in Morocco and Nigeria. Morocco has more 123s than Germany 😂
@@123works Interesting. They built cars in South Africa. I didn't know they had an assembly plant elsewhere in Africa even if they didn't make cars there. I presume they made trucks?

You did a really good job. My advice for you is to change the lightbulb of the headlights for a yellow ones. Those are the factory original.
Nope, only in certain countries like France and Belgium. Germany never had yellow headlights for example.
@@CaramelSons that's weird because a friend of mine has a Mercedes with yellow ones. Besides he lives in GERMANY. And he never changed them before.

@@CaramelSons Okay, but in my opinion that kind of car looks better with yellow lights.. That's why I told him to change them, because originally this car in the manuals or pictures appears with the yellow lights which for me are the best option. Thanks for sharing that information I didn't know about it.
