I srsly love your channel. Keep up the remarkable work!
Thank you so much for the support! I really appreciate it!
Красота .
It's beautiful!!! 😍
Thanks for noticing! I agree, it’s a gorgeous creature.
Rays and mantas are so beautiful
Absolutely! Rays and mantas are some of the most graceful creatures in the ocean. Their beauty is truly mesmerizing!
😲👍
OK
Does that make fidhing better after a storm?
Great question. I think it stirs things up a bit but what I was trying to say with this video was that people were lined up to fish once they were FINALLY able to get back out there on the Inlet and dropped their lines in the water after being stuck inside for days as this storm churned its way across Florida.
@@saltyseaadventures I hot to fish there once years ago. I caught a big read snapper off the bridge I think. I had no way to get it out of the water. Was great fishing probably 25 years ago. Thanks! Good memories.
Thanks for sharing that memory! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and it able to take you back to a fun experience! Take care!
Какая грациозность.
How is the Viz in Vero Beach for diving? Thanks in advance.
Hello! The past week or so the viz has not been ideal for diving with a lot of sediment in the water column and a lot of mixing that happened from the outer bands of Helene. I'm heading out over the reef today 10/01 and I'll update this response after those flights. Have a great day!
@@saltyseaadventures awesome thanks much appreciated
The viz has still not recovered here. The water was super green and really cloudy. It was disappointing that there wasn’t any clarity. Lots of wild life was moving through though. Hope that helps.
@@saltyseaadventures thanks for the Intel much appreciated
Question 🙋🏻♀️ why do you post these and then disallow sharing? My Granddaughter spent 5 weeks with me this summer and loved the beach so much, she lives in Vermont. I sent her the video and it said “private video” and was unable to view it?!
Hello and thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry you have having issues sharing the videos. If I’m understanding your question, I think the issue you are having is with sharing a post/video out of a private group as I do share them in groups around the Vero Beach community. If you copy the link to the video itself, she will be able to watch it without any issues. Thank you so much for sharing these with her! I hope she will enjoy them too! You can also share this whole channel with her and she can then watch any of the previous videos as well. Let me know if you need any more assistance and I will do my best to help you out. I really appreciate the question! Take care
Little ray in such a big world. I hope s/he finds companions soon.
Right! I usually see the Cownose Rays traveling in pairs or larger groups.
Wow❤❤
I appreciate your reaction! Your support means a lot to me.
Так величественно, неторопясь и безмятежно.

Awesome video, thanks for the information for shore diving Brad
No problem 👍
Beautiful creatures. ❤
I really appreciate your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video showcasing these beautiful creatures.
Beautiful 😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words. It means a lot to me!
Found any Mullet in your area yet?
Not so far. Should be this month though I hear. There has been some talk of them gathering to the north at Sebastian Inlet area.

Great videos. Do you use a filter on your drone? Polarized, ND4, 8, etc.
Hello and thanks for the feedback! I do use the Freewell combo filters. Most of the time I have the ND8/CPL filters on both drones depending on light conditions. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks again!
❤❤
Great stuff here!! Glad to learn of this channel!
Thanks for checking out my channel! I'm glad you are enjoying the content!
Thank God it was just swimming & not out for a walkabout, or a drive, a ride out, or a flyby, flyover or hopping down a trail or something 😂 yeah, they tend to swim, right?
Haha, for real! Just let them swim and chill-much better than all that other crazy stuff! I guess the main point of the title was to convey how the swells coming out of Hurricane Ernesto have really kept all the near shore waters a mess of "chocolate milk" like water conditions and to be able to even locate this Spotted Eagle Ray was quite the feat. This week I have spent hours over the water to get just barely a glimpse in to the world of our aquatic pals. Thanks for stopping by the channel! Hopefully we'll have some clearer water soon so we won't have to just barely see anything. :)
Thank You for sharing this with us. I love how we can now watch & learn so much more about our planet with the new drones that not only fly but there are drones used in the water also. Remembering the days when we only had one shot photos in books and magazines.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. It’s incredible how technology is enhancing our ability to appreciate the beauty of our planet.
Was that a Sailfish at 4:16?
That is exactly right. There were a pair of Sailfish that I spotted a couple days in a row before they moved on.
Fav animal every ❤
Traveling?
Some fish species live on reefs or wrecks or other specific locations in the ocean while others are generally in motion most of the time just passing through areas. These little Herring (guess) just pass through and so I am labeling them as travelers in this case. I have seen this bigger fish over this reef since I filmed this so I am going to say it might be a resident fish of this reef system. So I guess the question I should pose in the title now with this new information is whether this bigger fish is hunting the Herring or just checking them out as they pass by. Hope that clears it up. :)
Hard to say
It really is! I spend countless hours pouring over video I capture trying to figure out sizes of animals and whether they are babies or just smaller species of the animals. It's a lot of work but I really enjoy it!
How far off shore is this
Hello! Nice to see you again. Just for reference, this is the same reef as was in that video you asked about where it was located only I am obviously much closer to the water say between 15-30 feet above the water for most of this video.I estimate this is approximately 500-600 feet out from shore. Thanks for the question!
@@saltyseaadventures ok thank you again, I don’t think i read your response on the previous question I asked. My apologies
Sorry if my response came off sounding negative as that was not my intention. I just wanted to let you know that I remembered you from the other post and to give you reference that this was the same reef since it was hard to tell since the previous video was at a much higher altitude. I really do appreciate your questions and welcome them at any time. I appreciate you taking the time to see the videos and take the time to post something in the comments. Let me know if you have any additional questions. You can learn a little more about these nearshore reefs here: indianriver.gov/services/public_works/coastal_engineering/beach_program/beach_ecosystems___organisms.php#:~:text=Nearshore%20hardbottom%20reefs%20are%20a,of%20limestone%20rock%20like%20coquina.
@@saltyseaadventures No it did not sound negative at all👍. If you seen my channel you may think im crazy diving with sharks 🤷♂️ . With that said I have love and respect for Sharks and not too scared to have an encounter with them. Now my next question is : do people snorkle or dive where you are shooting these videos.? Meaning i wonder how much exposure these sharks might have with divers. Btw thank you for the Link gunna check it out now
I also love and respect sharks and understand their place in the aquatic food web. As far as this area of the reef, this video was shot on a fairly rare clear visibility day. There are treasure boats in this area that dive during the summer months and some additional snorkelers/divers but not like down further south or up in the pan handle area of the state. We plan to get out there and explore more in the coming weeks if visibility allows. Happy Diving!
was this taken any where close to Humiston beach park? Aslo how far offshore ?
This was taken a bit north of Humiston Beach Park. I'd say it is around 500-600 feet offshore. The reef to some degree runs from at least as far south as Round Island up to Sebastian Inlet with some areas being more compact and defined while other areas spread out quite a bit but you can still make them out below. Hope that answers your question.

Not sure why you call this House Reef amazing?? It looks like a pile of death coral. Look at your Intro photo of this videa this is a amazing reef and you know it!
I appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future videos. While I see there is some dead coral from overuse and the resort buildout process, there is also much life and wonder on this reef that so many the world over have never experienced. I really enjoyed this reef and all marine animals that call it home.
@@saltyseaadventures I would accept your comment as legit if you would have not used a photo for the Video beginning from a complete healthy reef. Anyway there are much better Reefs in Maldives than what you showed.
I absolutly love snorkleing and diving in the maldives. My favorite destination in the world.
The Maldives truly are a paradise for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts!
and that was a baby Tiger shark no less.....love all the fly by shots

Awesome to hear that you enjoy the videos! I really enjoy making them! Thanks for watching and sharing! It really is appreciated and means a lot!
They nest in Trinidad and Tobago from around April to September. It is worth the trip
Thank you for sharing this info! I'll definitely keep it in mind for experiencing these magnificent animals and sharing the experience with others through video! I really appreciate the tip!
@@saltyseaadventures You are welcome. If you go online and read about the turtles over there, you will be fascinated! I just returned from Trinidad on 6/24/2024. Have fun and share
Love sea turtles!
Your love for sea turtles is so heartwarming, thank you for appreciating these amazing animals!
This is great! the Leatherback & Logerhead sea turtles were awesome! Leatherbacks are so spectacular to see! I've yet to see an adult one on the beach or in the water yet, but I have seen new hatched leatherbacks crawling out to the ocean before in Melbourne Beach. Great video!!!
Thanks a ton for watching! Your turtle encounters sound awesome! Keep enjoying those beach moments!
