Also the people in the comments about the recall saved me a lot of money and not having a self garage mechanic from fixing it. I called the local Ford Dealership ship. They came out and it was fixed in 10 minutes. Thank you so much for this video.

Thank you for this video. I followed your steps and was done in 5min.

There's an open recall on that bushing. My car was stuck in Reverse. Did the lever thing, got it in neutral, park. Next morning, stuck in sport mode. Called Ford service, someone is coming out to me for free because of recall to replace that bushing/chord.

All of these FORD problems mainly caused by overcomplicated electrical & mechanical components makes me want to keep my current vehicle a 2010 Ford XR6 with 250,000km which has let me down once with an little blue plastic bush on the gear selector rod $50 fitted by RACQ at the supermarket. I must say that the vehicle was made and designed in Australia for the conditions in this country.

This just happened to me while I was delivering for Uber eats and I already picked up the customers food and I feel like an asshole because I had to call customer support to cancel their order even tho I had their food but I was legit stranded and I’m not good with cars and I couldn’t find any help and then I saw this video and even tho the lever isn’t exactly in the same spot in my car as it was in your video I manage to find the lever and it ended up working!
