Now this is just my speculation - but by watching this clip, it looks like Aqua does hold some ill feelings to management or at least to someone high up where they have the ability to make her disappear. It is clear that she doesn’t want to graduate and my guess is because it is really hard to abandon something you’ve worked for so long that became a success and not mention the community she’s going to leave behind. It seems to me that Aqua still needs a few more years to think about this one but that’s just me no offense 😂

I think the laugh is more to cover the moment. In the full clip Mio is really careful about how she says it so it seems that Mio wanted Aqua to know that they all knew what she was dealing with, without saying anything that would get them in trouble.

@@MisterUmbra2kXx It can't be too big of a deal because most Holos are acting completely normal right now, and Botan, Marine and Suisei, despite being some of the closest people to Aqua, kinda' made it sound like she was being unreasonable (Marine said she's never leaving, which is a complete 180 from what she was saying a few years ago); but it can't just be something that concerns only her because there's actually a handful of Holos who've said they've been pretty down lately and it'd be too much of a coincidence if they were all unrelated. It's possible there's been some behind-the-scenes change they disagree with, like permissions or contractual obligations. I've seen a lot of speculation, but none of it quite fits perfectly. I will say, although it might not be related, Aqua has felt semi-retired ever since February 2021, which is also when Coco made the decision to graduate. Perhaps something pushed Coco over the edge back then, and it almost pushed Aqua, too, but now it's come back and she can't deal with it anymore. I know the first thought in everyone's minds is China, but Coco said that really wasn't why she graduated, she said the reason was stuffy old men in suits not getting vtubers.

@@kireal2 i just started recently actually (about a week), i'm still memorizing hira and kata and at the same time expanding my vocab. (a little bit of story time) i was actually inactive on holo for almost 2 years already but then i saw akutan's grad announcement recently (which was really sad because i was a huge startend fan with suichan being my oshi) and it made me active on holo again so i'm kinda new to regloss, justice and advent. so yeah, due to akutan's announcement i realized i wanted to learn japanese to understand them more, knowing that they won't be here forever. oh and please send me the other clipper you know! it will help me a lot in my learning ^^

Fortune reading doesn't affect anything anyway. it's literally just someone reading cards. it doesn't have any real power. You have to choice to NOT listen to people, too. Aqua is not some puppet that is forced to live out the fate that Mio's cards show.

A good amount of fortune telling does come true, simply because people make it come true. Let's say you get a reading saying you will have good luck and stronger finances in the future. That reading might subconsciously give you the confidence to, for example, ask for a raise or promotion at work, which then if you're lucky leads to stronger finances in the future. Fortune telling can bolster people to make good decisions for themselves, which then makes the fortune telling come true. Do not underestimate the power of faith.

Aqua has already set her graduation date, it's not like she will suddenly retract her decision.
