Announcement

It is currently day 182, and I am in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. It’s a very rugged and beautiful part of the trail. I believe I am only at day 151, on the videos that have been released. I want to let you know of a change coming to the videos. I have decided, for the sake of finishing out this trail, and finishing it out well, to forego uploading any more videos until I have finished...

Thanks for sharing your thought struggles!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
That ski slope area was magnificent.
Dug the rainy intro. That hotel seems like it has many stories to tell.
Welcome back! Hope all is well with you.
Thanks, all is well 🙏
Glad to see you back. Hope everything has been going well. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Yeah! Videos again of your hike! Congratulations, again, on completing! I can’t wait to see the finish.
Thanks! 😄
Hope you were able to finish before the closed Mt K! Hope you are doing well!
All done! (Spoilers 😬) - now back to editing and posting videos 😅 How is Franklin fairing these days?
@@Vagabondage2024 I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! I look forward to seeing the rest of your journey when you get around to posting it. Franklin and Bryson City faired well. There was some minor flooding but nothing like that to the east a bit. I only had 1 tree fall at the end of the road, so happy with that. They opened the Nantahala National Forest last week and I went out and cleared blow downs from Wesser Shelter to the NOC - there were about 12 but it’s better now (just 2/3 to step over/under). If you are ever in the area, please let me know and maybe we can go for a hike.
PM me or contact info? I can’t figure out how to PM a UA-cam account from mobile app 😅
Hope all goes well to finish. Looking forward to your updates. The videos are an extra effort. Thank you for sharing.
Great job !!!! Keep up the good work
I think you are very wise. We have all enjoyed hiking with you in your likely once-in-a-life-time AT adventure. I have loved seeing what you have posted. Love and blessings. Stay strong. Stay safe. Enjoy!
Completely understand the announcement, I’ll look forward to watching everything once you finish. I’ll be cheering you on still!
Sorry you had such a hard day. Know that I look forward to being a part of your journey.
I have followed your vlog from the beginning of your hike. While you may not feel you are always in a bubble of other hikers, please know that you have at least one other person in me who has been there and has looked forward to your segments every day while doing my morning walk on a treadmill in upstate New York knowing that at the age of 64 will never get to create the memories you are making for yourself. I know this is weeks behind your “moment” but know that you are appreciated and that through your efforts I get to experience a very small portion of the AT. thank you.
I can understand your decision. Looking forward to seeing what you end up with. Be careful out there and hike strong!
Happy for you, but we will miss the posts. My question is, did you ever see the person who abandoned their pack, with the dated note?
Thanks for the update! I have been logging on each day hoping to watch your next video, so I'm glad to know why there haven't been any the past few days. It makes complete sense that you want to gain a different perspective in the last stretch. I can't imagine how much time it takes to post religiously. I hope you are having a great time and I look forward to watching the remainder of your videos.
Hi, I'm new in your Channel. I know you will have a lot of subscribers soon! Take care yourself out there and thank you to share your journey. Beautiful scenarios!
Congratulations on 700 miles left!
Thanks for taking the time to share your pack tips.
❤2👂Mimeograph! 🥸
Love your videos V!! Keep showing us awesome views! I love that roadside stand. I've seen it in so many hikers' videos. I'd love for someone to meet up/interview the owner there. They have to be wonderful people!!
You amazing !
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing about your panic attack and the insights.
Blessings be safe
🥰🥹
Thanks for sharing your resupply. I'm planning a short through hike and it seems nearly impossible to stay strictly vegan and get enough palatable nutrients. Vegan protein powder is not great. It's fine in my homemade smoothies with fresh fruits and veggies, but without all the disguise . . . no thanks. I am coming to accept that I may need to be more vegetarian for the trip and accept that is still an improvement over omnivore.
Best of luck!
Terrible the price of everything!!!
Wishing you all the best. A bit rainy morning 😊
Wish I was in a position to do what you are doing. Just found your channel, thanks. We live in such a beautiful country. It’s a pity us humans are hell bent on destroying it. Keep up the good work.
Welcome aboard!
Such beautiful land. Blessings be safe
Wow V, I don't recall seeing Sages Ravine being a focal point in any of the other videos I've watched. It looks beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to show us!
Beautiful! Blessing and be safe.
Curious, are mosquitoes bad?
I don’t wish to judge their moral character. 😏 But sometimes they are worse than others. Hard to quantify in general. Last week they were pretty bad I will say.
Your hike into Kent looked interesting.
Hello from Malcolm and Courtney.
Hi!! Hope y’all are doing well 😄
Sounds delicious
Blessings be safe
You look very nice!!
Just started following literally only 1 minute in going north or south?
North bound. Thanks for the follow!
Hey I'm not from the area and I don't know if the gentleman from the video is, but there's a small, sleepy town right on the border, like literally on the border of PA and Jersey, on the Jersey side, with a little downtown area straight of the movies its so small and on the same road, is the bridge over the Delaware to PA. Does anyone know the name? I had never been there but never forgot it because of how movie like it was. I'm from a small city so I had never seen anything like it. Reminded me of Twin Peaks or something but even smaller than that. They had like a small pharmacy maybe, one coffee shop, one small diner, one hardware store, maybe a tackle store, one antique shop, maybe like a bookstore, and a boutique. Thats literally all the downtown had. It might even have been half of that. Someone help. Lol
Town of Delaware Water Gap? It’s on the PA side. The NJ side is just wilderness.
@@Vagabondage2024 Could be. I have no idea. I'm just a city slicker from Elizabeth, NJ lol and this had to be more than 10 years ago. I just remember the quaint town area with the stores and maybe the bridge being about 50 yards away on that same strip/main street and that you could walk to PA over the bridge and that the bridge was directly over the river. And an added benefit was that you could cross state lines in a car without having to pay any tolls because of that bridge. It was pretty cool.
What a wonderful experience blessings and be safe.
Good hike V!
So green beautiful!!
It might be great to accomplish a 17-mile day, but I can't imagine doing that day after day, after day. That's a lot of hiking.
Sorry you missed the zoo
Argh Ticks! Despise them. Be careful!
Enjoy and be safe!!!!
Found your channel yesterday. Now I’m checking in today. Stay safe.
