Rocky MT ATV makes skidplate foam. I used it when I put my plate on and I don't notice any noise reflection. It also keeps debris from getting lodged in between. Always like your vids on this great motorcycle.

2024...Leaves were/are spectacular this year...expecially up near Park CIty/Guardsman. Hope you got out. Love that Kyhv (Squaw) Peak / Hobble Creek route but disapointed that they graded it. Not been there since we took the 990s up and over to Strawberry a couple years ago. Fun w/a little challenge thrown in once in a while. Just got back from a Strawberry/Skyline Drive loop. Fantastic! I'm hoping I can coax the wife to get out there on her new XT. Thanks again for you content.

Really appreciate you chronicaling your XT adventure. Just picked up an XT and found your channel. The little XT has a few stable mates including a WR250R, KTM 990 and a GS650 and replaces my 5'1" wife's trusty Honda 230L that she started on years ago. She would never let me replace that bike until she got on an XT a few weeks ago. She loves it and now, I'm knee deep in XT mods and farkles :) Your helpfull channel is full of great tips and perspectives. I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions, and one comes to mind right away. I have a 2025 Yamaha XT250 and purchased the same rack from overseas. It was pretty expensive but it looks like it belongs on the bike. I took the seat off, the side plastic off, unbolted the rear fender but left the wires hooked up, you need to kind of wiggle the fender in while you install the rack, I didn't remove the exhaust shield, I used boxed end wrenches in back and sockets up front, took a couple of hours being fussy, I feel its the best rack for the bike.

Do the pegs also fit yamaha wr250r??

Anyone have a recommendation for where to buy tire levers? Looking for the 17, 19 and 22mm axle wrench / tire lever combination for my XT250.

Did I hear that right. He let the air out of his tire. Dented both rims ripped off the turn signal smashed up to sprocket guard and strip the drain plug for the oil drain I'm going to guess there was alcohol involved😮😅😮😅

I removed my passenger foot rests so they are out of the way for mud paddling sitshiations.

mines about to hit 20k i just bought it and the only issues is its got a lot of rust and the spark arrestor is leaking because its rusted out. any advice on what to do about the frame rust? most of it is pretty good but the area under seat is pretty rusty and a few of the other areas have some surface rust to

It would be interesting to see before and after cylinder temperature in high ambient temperatures up long grades or in headwind on highway to see if this type of mod which blocks air flow actually affects engine cooling. Old air cooled off road bikes had high fenders and less sophisticated materials in the engine than the XT. No I don’t have measuring equipment to test this either lol. Thanks for the video.

Nice job on the bolt extract. Is there a kit available for raising the front-back fender? I made a pair of extensions from heavy duty curtain rod brackets for my XT.

Hi - I enjoy your XT videos. Will blocking cooling air flow to the engine with the “dirt bike” front fender mod be less than ideal if you ride at high throttle settings in hot weather? Like uphill on roads? I see people raising the lower piece off the tire with brackets for mud.

Bought my lady a 2014 13,000 miles and i love the fact it feels like a scooter.

When, and why did you lose the (lower) front fender?

I have 10,000 on mine recently. it is a 14 and the twin of yours. I like the D606's. The bike does not seem to have enough power to wear them out, so the cost seems fine.

Its kind of funny we want to be faster and harder riding through the woods, river, fields sorry to many miles away from the desert by 2k+ miles . I like it, but I cant justified the cost for this bike . When I can get a XR650L just 1,5000 dollors more

Your rubber boot is on upside down, the weep holes should be at the bottom.

Can I have some questions? What's the comfortable mph does this bike can go, were it won't hurt the engine Or damage it by going to 372miles per day. Everyday for a whole one month.

So jealous of the area you have to ride in. I live in Wisconsin and the bluffs are beautiful here but nothing around here touches anything close to what you have!

Love my 2008 XT250. It had set up for a couple of years and I had to do some carb work when I first got it. It had a slight dead spot on tip in after getting it running but after seeing the air filter had been replaced with a K&N I ordered a new Yamaha replacement and it cured the hesitation. I now have a good bike that has only 4100 miles on it. I have been riding big street bikes for 50 years and this bike is my absolute favorite. It’s so easy to manage and it will go anywhere you want if you can handle it. Gonna put some more different tires for a smoother and safer street ride as I have to ride pretty far to get to the trails I ride on. Other than that it’s perfect for me and if I drop it I can pick it up without no problem. It’s a keeper.

Love this engine. We have one at the shop now, 48k miles, still running great
