Was a dsp needed? What type of signal is the factory system outputting? Did the radio need to be flashed ?

Obviously EQ settings are a user preference but from your professional experience, the settings you picked for the EQ after running the test is that your recommendation where these speaker perform best?

This was REALLY helpful. Removing the fairing is not such an issue anymore! Thinking of adding some extra lighting and removing that fairing looked intimidating. Thank you.

Did you cut the holes for the stock speaker lids....or is that another lid?

Please make mold an enclosed attached to one of the pods that will accommodate the Dubie Bass knob. The bass knob needs to be visible at all times. The garage door opener hole is not a good place for that bass knob.

Great video, and it still does not do this build justice! Your challenge was to allow me to listen to my music on the highway, with earplugs in, and you blew that challenge away! I just took a roadtrip from Panama City to and from Gatlinburg, TN. With a half shell helmet and earplugs in, I could hear my music clearly at 70+ mph. Not just a little, but even with all the wind noise and sound supression from the earplugs, this system still sounds better than the factory audio! Now I have no excuse for not wearing earplugs when I ride. Plus I am receiving the "best complaints" about this system. One riding buddy complained "as we went through a tunnel...I realized all I could hear was your music, not my in helmet audio, or even the exhaust on my Harley." Well done, gents, well done!

Ok good info..i got a question im running a soundigital 1200.4 2ohm bridge to run cicada chx69.2 2ohm running a sound stream v2 radio..what do i set my amp to these speakers. They are cracking when i tirn the volume up..

Question: will these work with a 2014-18 fairing? There is so little audio stuff for the pre ride command bikes! We are the red headed step children lol

ok. I just bought a brand new 2024 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse with the PowerBand Audio Package and underglow. So would this be Gen 1 or Gen 2 ? I thought I read somewhere on the new 2024 with the with PowerBand Audio Package they came with the Bass boost and upgrades. So, is the GEN 2 an upgrade to the stock on my 2024 ? how can I physically see or determine if it is Gen 1 or Gen 2. The salesman said it had 400watt sound but How do I prove that that it does have that?

All he needs no is some midbass on those bags.

Yeah, don’t be like me! Started off with the fairing package and wasn’t going to do lids but after a month it bothered me that I had 2 channels doing nothing (didn’t bridge fronts) and called up and got speakers and wiring for 6.5” saddle bag lids. So yes, I had to do extra work. Fortunately be had this bike apart more than I can count BUT it would have saved time for sure if I had just ran everything from the jump.

Yes, Brandon I have the 2 inch pullbacks had bars so I’ve got clearance way better than the stock. I can stick my hand in between the handlebar and the speakers should work. I’m assuming please respond. Thank you.

Again are you going to be fabricating this for the 2018 Chieftain classic, also have you thought about coming up with something to bypass that automatic shut off bird shot so if you have to reboot to start the stereo all over again it’s very annoying This is why I see the Indians always running when you guys are doing a walk around showing off your equipment so the stereo don’t turn off the Harleys are always setting turned off the music playing with Indians are always running because of the shut off we need to do a bypass. Thanks
