That clean piston had scuff on skirt..he didn't even mention it.
This video was about pissed and washed not scuffing on the side of a piston skirt. But since you asked this guy forgot to put oil in his oil reservoir.
What if you replaced the solenoid, replaced the battery, but the starter doesn't crank. It just clanks once or twice then stops
other than not looking perfect, are there any other issues if the housing is cracked?
No, the housing, like all SS switch housings, is not waterproof but the switches inside are.
I was thinking about purchasing a krash ski. I live in Florida. I want to get into freestyle i was thinking about the foot rocket. But i only read bad things about the krash motors. Are they bad quality? Is a krash ski worth owning?
The hulls and engines are solid. The only issues we've really had in the past were just some of the electronics. Now they've gone to all new electronics and the ability to diagnose with a computer which is awesome. They're absolutely a blast to ride and very stable in the water and a fraction of the price of some other custom-built skis. If you're looking for an introductory to Freestyle in an all-around ski highly recommend one.
Really appreciate your vids Nathan, and your help in the forums. Mine was a recent one that I was having dramas with, and it was among other things exactly what you say in this vid - a faulty spark plug. I wish you guys were in NZ, I'd be a loyal customer of yours!
Thank You and please support us, we ship world wide.
Just as an update to my last comment, it's still not right. It's killing the rear plug within 8-10 minutes of riding. Been talking to Nick and they're sending me some new coils. Hoping like anything that it finally fixes it once and for all!
To trail convert a 2021 efi 600r…….is adding oil injection the only thing? Or do ya havta change the top end also? To make it trail legal. Thanks
My 2008 SuperJet would run at half throttle, anything past that it just wouldn't go and would bog out. Being a novice I assumed I had blown a gasket and was ready to take it in. Thank god I came across this video, only took a few seconds to see this was my problem. The clamp was loose and the pipe was disconnected from the coupler. Thank you for this post
So can you make these.premix or are they like the seadoo di engine we're you can't
Yes you can easily bypass and premix. We have a kit for it on the website.
Yes
hello, can you ship to europe?
What size pump is in these skis Is it a 144 or a 155?
148
148
144 amd 155 are just yamaha pumps. These are kavinci engines. I hear they are closer to a skidoo engines over yamaha or kawi
Freaking beautiful ski!! Whats the msrp on that bad boy
$21500
@JSPowersports I figured it was up there lol. Looks beautiful! It better for that price huh?
So that ski is made in Thailand?
The engines are built in Australia and the hulls are built in Thailand and the rest of the stuff is assembled in Thailand as well. Parts are from everywhere, Wiseco pistons, Bosch sensors, Microsquirt programmable ECUs etc.
@JSPowersports ok see I had Australia on my mind as where it came from. Only part of it did haha. Thanks for clarifying that for me
That soot build up is technically external material. Should we blacken like you say, on a perfect tune? Wont that continue to build up thicker and thicker over the years until eventually it affects burn/combustion?
Your tune will never be perfect all the time because of temperature and different fuels and different altitudes indifferent humidity but this is exactly what you're shooting for and if it is tuned correctly you're not going to have that much build up to ever affect it like you're thinking
@@JSPowersports After 2 years running strong, is it wise to pull the head off to visually inspect the tune by seeing the piston domes, to make any tiny adjustments if they dont both match eachother?
I bought this ski. The VIN matches. It's nice to see it actually running and easy to start in this video, because from the day I took it out of the crate it has not run correctly. Stupid hard to start. The engine will quit after a few minutes for no reason. Changed the tmap sensor at the advice of the dealer which only fixed the problem for a few minutes. Don't buy Krash skis until they get this problem resolved. They need to recall this ski. What a huge waste of money.
Call us. We're here to help and you have a 1 year warranty.
love these skiis.
Looks very stable, can you give your thoughts on how it compares to a foot rocket?
It is a bigger ski and more stable and was designed for bouy racing. Because of the bigger design and the larger Trey area and the tilt-down nozzle it also makes a great beginner ski. The foot rocket is also considered very stable for those that are experienced with riding stand-up jet skis and has exceptional handling and is capable of many tricks making it the hottest seller.
Any videos of you riding that rr? Would love to see some footage of one of those!
ua-cam.com/video/Dsb1ptM9Bb0/v-deo.html
Thanks for making these videos, I’m about to pick up a 2021 krash 997 and needs a new starter, and already got one on order from y’all! Thanks again
So as far as that coupler slipping back, are you suggesting that the ski is then sucking exhaust gasses into the intake at WOT and hence the bogging? Makes sense if that is the case. Had that problem yesterday on my 4 stroke converted yamaha SUV with the MR1 FXHO. Ran perfectly for 20 miles at 3/4 throttle (40mph) but on a 1 to 3 mile WOT run it would bog down completely but not die, then immediately be able to take off again. Rinse and repeat over and over. perfect compression, new oil, new spark plugs all looked great after the problem so it felt fuel related but this could also be a gremlin that I need to check since it is an altered exhaust system
How are these from a reliability standpoint everyone I talk to say they have a lot of problems
997s had some issues with electronics. 1200 from 21 up is all new electronics and awsome
Can you pump too much oil through those lines? Will it refuse to pump or will the pump have a distinct sound once its filled the lines? Looks like the check valves have filled with oil but I cant really see oil going through the lines after that and you stress to make sure theres oil in the system. Also, the wiring harness that plugs into the oil controller box does not have the two plugs in the empty holes. I went to town yesterday to electronics stores with the harness in hand but unable to locate such plugs. How can I fix that.
Yes you can pump in too much oil and when you go to start the machine it will be extremely smoky. There's no change in sound. You can run your fuel tank at 100:1 while you are making sure your oil pump system is all set up. You can request a pair of plugs with your next order or they will be available for sale on our site very soon.
Do you have any new blue & green foot rockets for sale?
Yes, I have only one left, Blue Lime, in the next batch on the way that does not have a deposit on it.
@@JSPowersports how much is it?
@@Ryan-yo4dg Base price is $13199usd. After taxes and fees its $14390usd. More details here: www.jspowersports.com/krash-footrocket-2024.htm
I feel like this is happening to my 1995 seadoo spi 587 single carb
Very cool!
More content daily give us
good
What is your recommendation for free play, daily use and a couple of flips, Rickter or Krash ?
Krash is about half the price of a Rickter and you can have a ton of fun on them and they are a great introduction to Freestyle and we'll do a ton of tricks and get major air off of boat wakes however if you want a designated flat water ski you're going to have to drop the extra money and get a bigger pump and all that stuff too
@@JSPowersports Yes exactly the pump definitely needs a change to take more gas. Do you guys deliver to Canada ? How I can contact you.
@@bgdthydy Yes we ship to Canada at your expense. www.jspowersports.com www.jspowersports.com/contact.htm
Hi team what do you recommend to use in DASA 1200's?
heck ya more content!
What’s a good weight limit for a krash ski? I’m looking at the reaper but I’m 6,4 280. I see a lot of shorter skinny guys on these. I did try the new kawi stand up and that didn’t go well. But I really like the seat position on the reaper.
Where there is a will there is a way. It will be easier if you're an experienced jet skier and have an athletic build. This is smaller than a Yamaha Blaster but has way more power. See if you can ride one somewhere before buying.
@@JSPowersports I was looking at the blasters and have seen builds. I will keep that in mind. Thank you!
Thx for this video just ordered one through u guys
Are these the same engine keepers as fits the Superjet? Thanks for the cool vids
They will fit a variety of different jet skis but may need different spacing.
It only went up to original 13.33 Voltage, I guess that good, as long as it is not going the other direction. 😊
Are the carbon models flat water flipable? How’s the reliability of the new injected models?
People have flat water flipped the 997 carb model so yes the 1200 fuel injection has even more response and more power and if you have the right Talent you can Flatwater flip it. The fuel injector 1200 have 100% all new electronics and most parts of the system you can test right on a computer. The new electronics are way better than the old stuff that was basically a copy of a Yamaha setup.
How many of these do they give you to sell a year? I know my yamaha dealer is limited on the sj they can buy to sell each year. I never see one in stock haha
We order a bunch every year but due to shortages they take a while to come in. There is no limit as of now.
@@JSPowersports oh cool!
hey brother my 2005 3d seadoo sounds horrible , what do you think it is? ua-cam.com/video/6xa6YBlSREk/v-deo.htmlsi=B6soE0SzqaBsKFg6
Thanks for this 👍
my 2022 footrocket won't prime when I turn power on
Spittin on that thang is better than nothing but not a good lubricant. Try extra virgin coconut oil. 😉👍
Can you flatwater flip that?
Yes if you have the talent but it's not a 50lbs hull
Footrocket is for jumping or buoys?
Footrocket is for Freeride, freestyle, chasing boats. The Predator RR is for bouys. See www.jspowersports.com/krash-jet-skis-2024.htm
I pretty vague
Where can i get one of these???
JS Powersports www.jspowersports.com/krash-hull-accessories.htm
Man i sure wish i could stuff a sxr 1500 motor into a reaper lol would be a riot
The 1200PFI that comes in the newer ski, '22+ have plenty of power and its way lighter than the 1500 engine.
@nathanjohnson9816 I'd be mostly all flat water messing around, almost buoy like riding so i figured the sxr 1500 with the unlimited fixed steering hood would be best but that puts the price right at what a new reaper would be. I'm not sure now, decisions decisions.
Do you have any Krash Foot Rockets in stock?
yes, view our inventory here: www.jspowersports.com/krash-23-inv.htm
Seems like alot of unnecessary stuff for a 2 stroke. Making something simple into a computer nightmare just like the automotive industry 😂
It's called technology and it's really high tech and it's really awesome to be able to test things in a few seconds. Its totally optional and The majority of people will never even plug theirs in or do anything with it but for us techs and tuners it's fantastic.
@JSPowersports oh I know what it is haha. The more technology there is the more bs that cones with it. More problems of failure you have. I can't even change the brakes on my wife's suv because I need a scanner to put it in service mode to release the electronic calipers lol. Technology isn't always better unless I guess you have 50k in tools and a degree to work on it. I sure don't but I just built a good running 62t 760 for my superjet with just a few hand tools haha. Keep the videos coming man I always enjoy them
Thanks for the video. I’m buying a reaper second hand that has the starter out and needs new woodruff and bendix I’m assuming these issues weren’t addressed before hand and this is a common problem. What else are small fixes to these that help with the reliability and keeping things working properly ?
Finally a good JS tuning video
Can they do flat water backflips
Yes if you have the talent however its not a designated 50lbs hull flip ski.
Ok I’m thinking about trading in my tr-1 superjet in for one
