Il réside en France depuis plus de 20 ans (de mémoire), peut-être un peu plus. À ce titre, il a joué dans plusieurs œuvres théâtrales françaises.
Avec Daniel Brühl et Christoph Waltz, il vient compléter le trio des génies polyglottes allemands (du côté paternel pour Brühl) !

Je ne suis pas très séries françaises mais celle-ci j'ai adoré, je trouve que les acteurs sont de bons acteurs, comme quoi il en reste encore un peu en France. J'ai été moins convaincue par la prestation de l'actrice qui joue dans le rôle de l'institutrice

It's a tv movie called "The circuit" but i can't find it anywhere unfortunately
It was a pilot for a series, which unfortunately was not picked up. So yeah, TV "movie," but only 40 minute long.

Richard Sammel est habité par son rôle. Et son français... Une merveille. Pour l'anecdote et pour ceux qui ne le savaient pas, c'est grâce à son rôle de Gerhard Moeller, le colonel nazi légèrement sarcastique mais finalement stupide dans "OSS 117 : Le Caire, nid d'espions", qu'il a été retenu pour interpréter Heinrich Müller dans "Un Village Français".
Et il jouait un des Allemands dans le premier Taxi.
On dit standartenführer, dans la Wehrmacht, on dit oberst.
