I've given it a lot of thought over the last year or two, and still not really sure. The most I can say for sure is if I had one, I'd have it powered down, at least partly dismantled, and locked in a box outside of my room before going to bed. Wouldn't nap with it running either. It would need to be completely lacking an internet connection too. Honestly, I'd probably treat it like I'd treat an open fire or a running stove. Turn it on to use it for tasks I don't want to do myself, and then put it away in a manner where it can't possibly do any harm. Oh, it might also _need_ to be slow and somewhat weak by design as well. If it were as strong and agile as a fit human (or better even), then it could always do a bunch of damage despite my precautions. So I guess yes, I'd trust this robot in my house while following strict procedures with it, and provided that it's incapable of overpowering me. As a concession, if I were old and incapable of performing many basic tasks myself, I'd get over it and just hope that if it kills me, it makes it quick. And at that point that might even be my preference lol.
