Several summers ago, I listened to this song on repeat and wrote manically deep into the night. What is in your blood? The love of danger--passed down from your ancestors, or an inherited desire, a genetic predisposition to severe longing, or something darker still? I, too, have hungers, such terrible hungers. Also came here after hearing this beautiful, yet haunting, tune on True Detective. By far the best of the ones they chose for the outros and I actually think this one could have possibly worked even better as the opening score than Bury a Friend, even though that one is really good too. All this, just to say that I think you nailed it with this one. Haunting lyrics, voice of a distressed angel and a sick beat after the first two verses. Well done!
