Moab's Poison Spider Mesa in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ
Переглядів 995 років тому
My gopro battery died, so this is not the whole trail. I also don't really know how to edit videos, so you should probably fast forward a bit through the boring stuff. I'm running a Cherokee on a 4.5 inch short arm lift w/ 31's and open diffs. Made it through without any damage or winching. Didn't take all the bypasses, either. Just posting this so that folks can see that you don't need a Rubic...
chinese junk or what? where is rep equipment manufactured?
It hasn’t gotten any worse and I’m still using it. Not sure where it is manufactured but probably China like most.
If only there was a rock-solid masonry wall behind it you could anchor to.
My 5000 wobbles with out plates but is super solid with 300-400lbs
That is good to know. This one still wobbles with weights on it but I’ve been using it for about two years 5 or 6 times a week and it is holding up just fine.
Mine doesn’t wobble nearly that much. Actually hardly at all unless I force it to wobble.
I have the Titan t2 budget rack and it does not wobble like this.. I’m happy I went with Titan over rep. Rep is very good with marketing their equipment but if you search hard enough you find videos of peoples rep racks all wobble.
WOW I finally found a perfect video for my all my questions on this rack. Why can't more people make a video like this. Little bit too much wobble for my liking. I think i'll go with either Dicks sporting goods Ethos 1.0 or spend a little more and get the titan x-3. Thanks for sharing this!
I have the Titan X-3 Flatfoot and it’s amazing. 6 post version of course.
Any rack will wobble without any weights on it. Plus this is Rep budget rack. I have the rep PR 5000 3x3 and is a beast. Even mine without any weights wobbles.
It wobbles the same with weights.
Get a welder and weld some cross braces. Done....
How much weight have you done on this? Still holding up?
I have around 300lbs of weights on it. It still has a side to side wobble but it has held up fine. I'm still not happy it wobbles and I would have bought something else if I knew this was normal, but I feel safe using it.
It’s a budget rack yes it wobbles a little but definitely gets the job done!
Its pretty wobbly when i shake mine but when i actually use it i cant tell if its either not wobbling or i just dont notice it
I made this after I put it together and I was pretty bummed out about it. I’ve been using it for about a year now and it hasn’t been an issue so I’ve pretty much gotten over it.
Thank you so much for posting this, answers questions for me about its overall solidity/stability/feel. My budget full rack I sold was actually more stable than this and was thinking this would at least be on par if not more stable. A nice setup you have here nonetheless with the weight storage attachment, which is what I was wanting as well and also figuring would equate to great stability
I was looking at the PR1000 model to be exact but I imagine there is no difference other than the pull-up bar and hole spacing
@@danfit4real yep, I’d expect them to be similar. I’ve been using this regularly and it’s holding up fine, so the wobble doesn’t seem to be an issue. It’s very stable for pull-ups.
@@bspizzledizzle that’s good I appreciate the feedback
What about when it's loaded down with weight?
Only a little bit better. I’ve been using it 5 or 6 days a week and it’s been fine. No front to back wobble, but still wobbling side to side.
Good Job on the Trail, just bought a 98 XJ and this is reassuring to see!
Awesome! Get out and enjoy the trails. Mine is still kickin butt.
Atta boy! Did the same thing last year in my XJ. Great time. Rock on, bud...
