NATICC conducted a radio program on VOC FM, in the show we were discussing the types of families and the different ways of raising children. The officers unpacked the challenges that children may face when they are raised by grandparents, not by their biological parents. Speaking from a parent's perspective, Mrs Thobile Masuku mentioned that as parents, it is always vital to be transparent abou...

To ask questions about GBV and COVID 19
I wish more parents could have more access to this topic, because some end up passing the trauma to us kids. Kugcine kuyi cycle.
The controversial truth - the stories that remain untold - from the mouth to the heart! Thank you to @Naticc for these - let’s keep talking.
Surely life is not a movie
Once again, @Naticc and team, thank you for a wonderful conversation on co-parenting. Watching it again, I realize just how much we can learn from our children as well. It would be great for the program to, at some point, include the voices of children who have lived experiences with co-parenting to share their thoughts. I say this because, as parents, we need to understand that when we use them as weapons, we leave an indelible mark on their lives. 🙏
Thank you for sharing such valuable feedback! 💙 We’re glad you enjoyed the conversation on co-parenting and appreciate your suggestion to include children’s perspectives in future episodes. Their voices are indeed essential, as they remind us of the lasting impact our actions have on their lives. We’ll certainly explore ways to integrate these perspectives into the program. Together, we can continue creating a space that promotes understanding, healing, and growth for both parents and children. Thank you for being part of this journey! 🙏
Powerful discussion. I think the issue of co-parenting isn't getting enough airtime whereas it is detrimental to the development of children. Parents constantly in conflict may result in the children growing up with emotional instability leading to them having unhealthy relationships when they grow up and starting their own families.
Thank you for your insightful comment and for highlighting this crucial issue! You’re absolutely right, co-parenting deserves more attention, as it directly impacts the emotional and social development of children. We’re committed to continuing these discussions to raise awareness and promote healthier co-parenting practices. Together, we can work towards breaking cycles of conflict and fostering environments where children can thrive emotionally and build healthy relationships in the future. Your engagement means so much to us! 🙏
This was an eye opening discussion in so many levels. We need more of such discussions online. Looking forward to the next episode. #Blueheart
