Possible to restock MCB color?
Thank you so much, this was extremely useful to me.
That bag would never last on a construction site. K thank you!
Hey! Can you tell me if a larger 16" gaming laptop would fit in the laptop compartment? Dimensions are 35.95×27.3x1.99 centimetres.
Great job
Looks really good dude. You're really designing some great bags and your pricepoints aren't taking the piss like a certain brand we all know. I like how you listen to customers too.
Thank you Sam 🙏
Yeah it is on the heavy side but it is perfect otherwise. Love mine
Could you please make a video showing the hip belt?
Sorry for tardy reply. Good suggestion! We will as soon as we can.
hope you introduce this 20L version with molle system soon :)
Lol…matroskya…the nesting dolls are called Matryoshka…
Very sad to see the conceal/secret pocket go. IMO it is very useful for valuables. Also would love to see more of a heft in the new lower front compartment for a more useful carry. Prefer the older version better. That said, LOVE the maroon color internal here. Is it the same internals on the xpac?
The new Crimson Wave lining is found in the 500D Black, X42 Black & Olive and 630D HD Twill variants only.
Just got mine delivered. Bit disappointed that the shock cord blocks access to front compartment when installed but apart from that it’s an incredible bag🔥🔥🔥 The separately bought hip belt is also massive just FYI and dangles quite a bit when I wear it due to length. I don’t think most of you will need it tbh and kind of regret getting it additionally.
What are the fully expanded dimensions of the laptop sleeve? My work laptop is 14.5”x10.5”x 1. I would really like one of these for commuting but getting the laptop in is critical
That's cutting it quote close. The current recommended dimensions are 14.5" x 10" x 1"
I still want one of these(wish it had the orange interior like the Whitley) but are the dimensions you provided the actual pocket dimensions or the recommended object?
@@samleary2733 it's the recommended dimenion is a tad smaller than actual.
I want the original version back
Just buy it secondhand there's plenty in the used market.
@Kwisss resellers jack up the prices
DEFINITELY!
@@Based_Dept. In some facebook groups I see a 500D one going for 150$ shipped. Another for $200 Shipped the Evade 2.0.
Can you make a video comparing all 3 material options in black?
Hello, am I able to buy a second compression strap to add the the bag lower around the bottom portion of the bag?
Any estimates as to when you guys will be restocking the 630HD Twill Black?
Probably by mid March we will have the next batch.
The side water bottle sleeves look smaller. I hope that’s not correct?
Hi Joe. The water bottle pocket design for this new gen Evade 1.5 is based on the one we did for the Stealth Cobra. The only difference is that the current one is 1" taller.
Hi, is the inner fabric color the same as the evade 1.0x?
Fabric is almost similar in color.
@@alpha_one_ninerCan quick access pocket fit an iPhone 14 pro max?
@@Nutsackfart the QAP is about 7.5" across and 4.5 deep. Easy fit.
@alpha_one_niner Thank you for existing. I like what you guys are doing with these bags. I'm going to purchase a evade as soon as you restock.
@@Nutsackfart you're very welcome!
2 questions beaver tail compatible? And why dont you send this pack witch pals pannel hook loop this is a great value :(
It is and it will accept the existing beavertail. Ref PALS panel...because feedback from previous users indicated that not many utilize the panel. Give the need to reduce weight, we decided to remove the PALS panel. That said, a removable panel is being developed to be offered as an option in the near future.
@@alpha_one_niner thank you for the answer, I'm telling you this because I saw a recent photo of your bag with the inside with the only pals ranger where a guy had put what he could on it (including a tiny lamp) and there I say it that it can be used to compartmentalize more edc
Very nice revision. I have the old version and also the Cobra version and love them both. I'm going to grab this version also. The best backpack for the money IMO. Worth twice what it costs.
Is there still going to be an option to buy the older model with the concealed carry area in the back?
HI there. We are no longer offering the previous gen Evade.
What material is on the pack you’re showing on this video?
Thsi one is in the new 630D HD Twill.
@@alpha_one_ninerWhen do u plan on restocking most of ur bags? I wanted 500d ranger green😢
@@Nutsackfart These new Evades will continue to be in stock for sometime. Our production is on a rotation basis between the different packs. It will circle back to the RG Evades possibly late March.
What the diffrent this model and 500 D Black?
The only difference is the fabric. But if you are asking about fabric differences, there is link on the product page to a separate page explaining the materials we use.
@@alpha_one_niner thanks.
Is the Evade 1.0x and the 1.5 the same interms of overall design minus the handle carrier on the 1.0x and the patch?
That is correct, the overall design is the same except that the 1.0X is limited, has the pricier materials and leather trims.
Hiya AON team, I was wondering if the Twill fabric was going to make its way into the Weekender duffle? I'd love to pick up a Twill 1.5 and pair it with a Twill duffle!
Very good question Tony! We plan to eventually use the new twill on our other bags but let's see how it works out with the Evade first and then we'll map it out from there.
@@alpha_one_niner Please do! I'd love to use the weekender for work, and the twill really smartens it up so it doesn't look out of place. I reckon I'm not the only one that's hoping for it too :)
I placed my pre-order last week for the 630D HD Twill and can't wait to get my hands on it!
Is the recon 9 21L or 27L like you say in the video?
It was a mistake on our part in the video; it was listed as 21L.
With no CCW pocket is there at least a hidden pocket for passports etc? Really wish there was at least a pocket for a pocket pistol CCW
😂They screwd all you conceal carry people who this was made for. Bunch of sellouts. I definitely would never buy from this company if I were u. I never liked all these companies with the whole I'm gonna hide in the woods military look. If I were u I'd look at SLNT backpack? They make a bag for conceal carry😊
@@Nutsackfart Bro you literally were praising them and begging for Ranger Green Evade in the other comments. Just cause they decided to remove the CCW pocket doesn't mean its a sellout. They based it on customer feedback and polls/did it to include the hybrid laptop sleeve. The Evade was never meant fully for CCW carry as theres better ways to CCW in a bag.
@Kwisss I am praising them. I never knew about them before. I just meant they did screw over some of their conceal carry people. I basically said they should move on. I bought two different backpacks bc I wasnt going to wait for this evade bag to be back in stock I'm glad I did
Where is it made?
Our production studio is in Saigon, Vietnam.
Can you share any updates about what the 2024 updates will be on this model? This maybe the perfect pack for me but I'm not sure if I can wait all the way to Q2 as I'm the market for a new daily carry. Thanks
Is the main compartment deeper in this over the 1.5?
Both versions are dimensional the same but yes the main compartment is deeper because of the hybrid laptop sleeve design.
Thank you, I just realized I should have specified the earlier model 1.5 full. Looking forward to this iteration.
Whats the most durable version? x42 or 630? br m
Both will be equally durable, it would be a question of which fabric is going to be better for your lifestyle. For eg, the 630D HD Twill is definitely 'dressier' than the X42.
Well say good bye to all CCW customers you should really sell both options RIP Evade CCW my favorite backpack
😂 Yeah all you cave dwellers got screwd😂 I travel alot so I'm constantly losing bags having to become a fan of bags. These bags never appealed to me but maybe you can look at SLNT backpacks. They show a pocket specific for conceal carry in their video
Great job guys! Wish it was lighter though
Your bag needs side handles. The addition of side handles are so needed when you have heavy loads and have to lift the bag up. Just having a top handle isn't enough.
Thinks in website is in suplements
Which material is the one in the video? 500D black?
It's our new 630D HD Twill offering.
What is the prettiest color? Black, od green, olive, or multicam?
Oooh that a tough selection to chose from! Black will always be the choice for most but we think the X42 in Olive and the MCB are stunners!
I have some questions to help me decide between packs. 1) Without a frame sheet, how supportive is the back foam panel, and can a frame sheet be added somehow? 2) Relatedly, other than the Evade being five liters smaller and having external bottle holders, how does it compare to the Spare Camel for EDC? I haul around 30 pounds daily and love having several pockets, as well as space for pouches. For reference, a Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack is a great size for my sruff but doesn't fit my frame well. Thanks for replying to our questions!
Sorry for the tardy reply, just saw the notifications! 1) The pack's back panel is stiff, it's both foam and HDPE sheet. 2) We've ruck a 30lbs plate with this Evade, that weight is not going to be an issue but man, that's quite the weight to haul day in, day out.
If you make a 30L version, make it deeper rather than taller as the 2.0's volume was good, its just that the tall, thin profile made the pack tight and hard to reach into as a result when full. It also tends to stick out under airplane seats.
Excellent point, thanks!
don't forget about bigger guys please. We carry bigger items and have longer torsos making <20" high packs look ridiculous. @@alpha_one_niner
Just a beautiful update. All the improvements of the Evade 1.5 and 1.0x without the bulk - a damn near perfect "onebag". In the main compartment, it looks like there's some velcro near the top between it and the laptop sleeve - curious what the purpose of this is.
That is to seal the laptop compartment from the main compartment. We want to separate the two. It is not meant to be exposed like in the Whitley design.
@@alpha_one_niner Yes, but why velcro instead of something more permanent like stitching? Does that mean the laptop compartment is removable? Just curious as it seems like a deliberate decision.
Totally agree with this question. What is the benefit of Velcro if it doesn’t serve any function, just make it a separate compartment and completely seal it off. Not sure what the practical reason is.
Still rocking an original evade. Still looks like new. Helm makes a quality product.
Bring back the old design
We're moving on brother, we're moving on. It's been 5 years since the Evade was out and a new decade for AON!
I emphatically agree. For me, the original 1.5 is the ultimate backpack.
What would you say are the biggest differences when choosing between the Whitely and Evade? Both have many similarities and I imagine are awesome in different ways.
Two very different types of bag. The genesis of the Whitley (20L) design was a summer intern from UNC who wanted a better college backpack which in turn evolved in a portable work station, office type backpack and for minimal EDC. The Evade (25L) was developed from feedback sourced from the larger EDC community including those who concealed carry. Its end users vary widely from us daily EDC folks to law enforcement agencies who carry a wide range of gear in it. We even have folks who use theirs as range bags in a pinch! Again, very different bags in our humble opinion.
One small detail I think was missed. The main zipper looks like it goes down a little further to allow a better clamshell opening. Also looks like it interferes less with the bottom mesh pocket when "clamshelling" the bag.
Indeed that is correct, great observation!
Is the lower outside pocket just a flat pocket? Any other features internal to that pocket?
A flat pocket that is somewhat less revealing if the zipper pull was tucked in.
No bottom straps for this one?
No sir, one more thing from the surveys that most said they rarely or never use.
Sad to see the CCW compartment go. That was incredibly useful. I hope we see maybe a CCW edition of this pack in the future. It looks like a good update all things considered, especially the harness.
Yeah I am bummed as well, but I actually like the top pass through for the laptop… just as easily stick your CC in that slot, I have done that with my GoRuck bullets.
Did you see the video that was posted on our FB page by our founder who explained why it was removed and how he would concealed carry in this new pack?
@@alpha_one_niner No, I don't use facebook but count me in the group that's disappointed to see the CCW compartment go.
I was just looking at this bag until I saw this video where they removed the CCW feature. It's almost a perfect bag for everything. Oh well.
@@microsnook3 same, guess I'll be going with a vertx for new pack in a couple weeks
Looks awesome!
Nice utilitarian tote.
