    One note, Dielectric Grease is water resistant, however it is not a sealant, and on mine it doesn't seal. I used some clear silicone for windows in place of the rubber seal that the bike comes with and although its annoying for when the box needs to be opened, it works far better.

    This video isn't for people that are mechanically inclined. I enjoy the and this is going to help me a lot and I'm about to order my clutch compression tool now. Did you need to use the oil that's in the manual for tools needed?

    I see where the question was asked what size tires were on it when you done the lift but no reply, sorry for just viewing your video but I’d like to know myself what size tires were on it at the time the lift was installed?

    I need a little more lift now that I have 35's. Thinking 6.5 but don't want to go too tall.

    • @WiSeR187
      @WiSeR187 2 роки тому

      What you end up going with? Initially I wanted 4.5” but thinking of one and done with a 6.5” for flex clearance. And I want 35’s over 33’s. I understand the too tall part. I want to be able to drive it and not trailer it. I have the 35 rear so I’ll be doing my homework on what’s decent. 8.8? Or should I stay 33’s to buy me some time with the axle setup.

    • @ProjectXJ
      @ProjectXJ 2 роки тому

      @@WiSeR187 the 8.8 is a really great axle. Definitely do that. I ran 33's on my dana 35 for a little while but didn't do anything really difficult. I would say if you are wanting to run 35's, go with at least 5" of lift, anything less will just not be enough unless you cut and bump stop a LOT. At 5" right now, i never feel too tall, like i am going to roll over. I am not having too much rubbing so i might stick with my current lift but want a little more articulation out of the rear. I would like to do shackle relocation brackets with 1" max lift from them. Also, the 8.8 really isn't that much to swap in. All in it cost me $580, and then $325 for a Detroit locker. If you didn't get a truss, solid diff cover, and extra shafts like it did, it could be done cheaper!

    • @billydunlap4707
      @billydunlap4707 4 роки тому
