i dont understand, I got blackbars if im runing aspect ration inside nvidia control panel, but if ll'l change that into full-screen it streches the screen like upwards not sideways it's pretty hard to explain.

@@milovilen7944 Use "No scaling", thats what I use and make sure your horizontal is the same as before, and your vertical is smaller than before.

I take it you mean aspect ratio, not resolution, since my resolution width-wise was staying the same at 3840 The game could've easily just added black bars and NOT increased the FoV, cutting off part of the top and bottom of the game world, reducing objects on the screen therefore reducing resources required to run the game This is why I made the video, because it doesn't do that, it actually increases the objects on screen (FoV) and makes the game more difficult to run, I expected the game to NOT increase the resources required to run the game when changing to a higher aspect ratio, but that's not what happens, it's a direct increase in resources required to run the game

​@@scofozo no idea what you're trying to say here... the game supports ultrawide. I play on an ultrawide monitor, 3440x1440 If you make the horizontal resolution wider than the vertical resolution then it'll render that extra space. I'm not sure why this is blowing your mind so much. That's just... how it works.

@@ReynbowSync the games could've easily just cut your vertical FoV like they do for 4:3 monitors' horizontal FoV and this still would be technically "supporting ultrawide" Again the mind-blowing thing is that I'm reducing my resolution but they're adding more game info onto my screen

@@scofozo I mean if that blows your mind then that's great. Only poorly made games wont adjust to the resolution you set.

I play on a 65" gaming TV and love dropping the aspect ratio, it creates black bars but it allows me to sit closer to my screen and simulate a 1440p ultrawide monitor

maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment... the size of a screen doesn't change the FoV. 16:9 in 65" will be the same FoV as 16:9 in 24" ...the only thing that changes the FoV is the in-game slider or changing the aspect ratio of the display to something higher, 21:9 or even 32:9 etc

@@scofozoI meant is if you have a smaller screen you can see things better in your peripherals than a larger tv.

This is actually not true, the game's FoV increases and decreases depending on the aspect ratio even if neither change the in-game FoV slider, someone playing at 105 FoV in 4:3 sees much less than someone playing at 105 FoV at 48:9 (3840x720), if you'd like to test it you can create custom resolutions in nvidia control panel: ua-cam.com/video/-ElaSdU76Gw/v-deo.html

i'm trying to find a cheap gtx 1060 so I can record HDR in any resolution, including this resolution

I can force 3840x1080 on my monitor which increases the FOV past the in-game cap of 105, I can even go lower but I can't stand it lower than this... Any 32:9 will be able to replicate this without the black bars

do the Memories you have, finishing the ones you have allow you to get new ones that will hopefully tell you to go here the Memories are like mini quests, and you can't have more than 2 at one time, one light and one dark, and you have to do them to spawn the next part of those "quests", and they each tell you to go to a specific location on your map

@@scofozo strange, i just ran it on freeroam and it was there haha, it seems a lot of the stuff is bugged, mannnnnnnnnnny reports of the light items not combining, i have 7 atm and nothing, dismantled down to 5 nothing, went to 4 got one more, and nothing haha so im stuck for now

Stand in the grenade aura and throw the grenades at the cyst it will not work if your not standing in the aura.

some of the cysts may just be part of the environment and the real cyst may be somewhere else, but always in eyesight of the grenade location, sorry I just got to this

I couldn't get there without going into the mission due to the bosses guarding the doors and how it starts in a "locked" location. If you know a path, it may be worth a try. The mission (especially if you're over 1945) is a walk through in normal mode. It is just after the main ogre.

I think it's from Overflow dark and light chests, they have the roots all over them and are locked until you complete a puzzle

@@gorax8965 walk out of the load zone and walk back in slowly, make sure you have the darkness memeory, not the light one

@@scofozo seems that way I just tried dismantling one and gaining another and it seemed to work. I'm sure more people will come here with this bug so hopefully this helps them.

nope posting as I go, probably from more Darkness Memories, this is like my 2nd Memory i've done, darkness memories are obtained by loading into an Overflow zone and finding a chest that is locked by roots, saying something like "needs to be expunged" within 10 yards there should be a puzzle, doing the puzzle lets you unlock the chest one puzzle is standing in a grenade-empowering zone and using your grenade to kill 5 plant spores, another has you follow a path, another has you get a buff to cleanse the pools of damaging blights on the ground, there are more but that's every puzzle off the top of my head
