I had an Irish Setter as a child. I've never seen one hunt, so it was interesting to see what they can do in the field. Did you have to train him/her to be so focused on the bird as opposed to having his focus on be on you and what you were doing (mine would run like this for hours, but he always wanted to know where I was while he was running)?

thanks for ur advise..I prefer always using 410 for quails:it is 11 g not 6g and (still simple charge ROYAL HUNTER) no need to rush i can kill it sometimes up to more than 30 m. try it u will feel much more pleasure on far distances with 410. trust ur self and ur gun everything will be faisable. if u shoot closer it will be ball-trap where no hunting passion..

be faster on your swings next time, it's only a .410. Don't worry you will not blow the quails if you take a close shot! How many grams are u using? if you are planning to shoot far distances use double charged 12g loads, else 6g are enough for close range.
