Interesting. i've tinkered with many of the ideas but haven't seen this paste. I even carry a few things in the car just in case something happens on the highway in the winter.. There's a guy on YT, old video, who shows you 5 or 10 or whatever ways to start a fire in ways you either don't know or probably never tried. a few of the ways are fascinating.

@@BSW19 I lived in WV from 18-22. So I know you guys aren't really prepared for large sums of snow there. Fortunately up here the town has a fleet of snow removal equipment. So the roads should be clear by lunch.

So, it's mostly pinks, but occasionally a silver might show up? Are silvers coho and are they sought after pretty highly?
@@JumbleTronChannel so pinks are the first to show up. They start in July and run till they die off. Silvers (cohos) start in August and go till they die off. For the most part they overlap for a couple weeks, with most pinks being zombies and the silvers being fresh.
@@JumbleTronChannel in terms of being sought after in Alaska it's Chinook (kings), sockeye (reds), Coho (silvers), pinks (humpies), and chums.

...the same applies to fishing and hunting. After we add up all the gear and equipment...all for "maybe" getting something when safeway or peterpan (or whatever replaces their market) is 100% sure thing. I love the whole hunter/gatherer process too, probably more than the actual reward at the end.

Should you eat salmon after they spawn and before they die?
@@victoriaschell2225 good question, I would not. Once they spawn and start getting moldy they lose almost all their fat and muscle real quick. So you could, but I would not suggest it.
