Baghdad, Iraq 🇮🇶 - a travel destination for foodies?

In April this year I travelled to Baghdad, Iraq as part of my Middle East trip. I wanted to try all the different food in Baghdad to find the BEST Iraqi cuisine.
As a part of my Iraq trip I also visited Basra, Najaf, Karbala, The Marshes, Mosul and Kurdistan.
This is a solo backpacking trip which has lasted over 18 months.
Some of the highlights were: masgouf, kubba, kunafa.

Trouble in Iraq's 🇮🇶 Mysterious Wetlands

I travelled to the Iraqi Marshes after hearing so many things about them. Are they really as good as I've heard? This is part of my 6 week trip to Iraq and around the world solo backpacking trip. To get here I had to travel from Basra through to Chibayish. After the Marshes I then continue through Nasiriyah to Najaf and eventually to Baghdad.

On my third and fourth day in Iraq (in the town of Basra) I met wonderful people and also got an Iraqi-style hair cut. Iraq is such a wonderful country and I visited for 6 weeks as part of my solo around the world backpacking trip.
