You are right that it is an av31

The spring forks and stand came after the 1949 to 52 model as far as i know .mine is the 1st model with rigid forks and brake blocks and no stand .

Hi sorry i dont think the date is right on this model ? I have an Av3 ( made 1949 to 51 ) type one ( it came from France . It has brake blocks and nmounting for same on the rear of frame. Also two thin wire bars at the bycycle forks to frame of mudguard . You have telescopic forks on this one " Av 31" but this model year came after a secondary model of av3 with curved frame downtubes . My mk 1 has straight down tubes . Another thing is that the Av3 mk 1 does not have a stand or welded fixing point for any stand adjoined to the underside of frame. The Av3 mk1 also has thinner mudguards . The deluxe model av3 mk 1 had splayed wider lower front mudguard. The fuel tank on the Av3 mk1 and deluxe were thinner in design than the Av31. Also the av3 mk 1 had no clutch . I hope this helps !
