@@minixpc I am more interested in hearing what you think of it. I find the device thermal throttles a lot and as a result scores poorly. So the on paper performance just isn't there because of the hardware implementation - at least that's what I've seen.

Then, polling would be up to the game, so they'd poll at double the frame rate, usually 120. Since we can't poll for inputs except at whole multiples of 1ms, and in games like Super Smash Bros. Melee, who's polling code is already a bit crap, our solution is brute force. We can't poll at the exact same rate some emulated console games want to be polled at 120 Hz, while cheap controllers often poll at 125 Hz, leading to dropped inputs. 120 doesn't divide by 125, and neither does 1000, but 1000 is close enough where dropped inputs are almost a non-issue.
