That's not the true height measurement s. There are actually an inch or two of extra height due to the hood arch.

I've just purchased the rack from Thule (Swedish company) and the bikes sit quite a bit lower than on your rack. I hope my range will be less effected. Thanks for the video, enjoy!

I wanted to replace the usb flash drive I've been using to an SD card, mainly so I don't kill the device prematurely. I bought the SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 Reader, which I read works well. I also have 2 microSD cards: SandDisk High Endurance 256GB and SAMSUNG 128 PRO Endurance. My issue is the same with both of them. I plug it into my Model Y (2022), it says I need to format it. I click the format button, format finishes, but then shows as if I didn't plug anything into the USB slot. (I'm using the USB in the glove box). I've tried multiple times, but to no avail. The SD cards work fine, as I've been using them in my other dashcam with no issues. The card reader also seems to work fine when plugged into my mac. Any ideas?

Just came up with this video, really good content. The only thing that for me is not accurate is the way you measure leg room. Leg room should be the space between the back of the rear sets, to the seat in front of you, in a straight line at the height of your hips when sitting.

I believe its like gas. If you drive aggressive before you charge you'll lose some miles.. drive more efficient and try to at least reach 4.6-4.8 m/kw then charge to 80%-100% you'll gain all those miles you'll lost. Thats how my Bolt is.. also if you dont need to use highway, don't. Drive on street if you have too. Have a good day..

The 70-80 MPH obsession to keep up with the herd is a big problem. Slowing down to a conserving 69-65 MPH is usually less noisy and more in the spirit of efficiency that EVs were supposed to bring.

Have had a Leaf since 2016. Temperatures really impact range. Difference in temperature from 75 to 55 will definitely matter. So it’s not a true comparison unfortunately.

Excellent video and test - finally as real a world test (that I have found). If you drive the speed limit in Michigan you WILL be tailgated and flipped off. It does not matter if the State police are around or not.

04:30 - my GPS devices (both my Garmin and that provided by Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc. on my iPhone) all know to tell me to stay in the right lane, in preparation of the upcoming turn into the parking lot. Is this a joke? Model Y has WAY WAY more room than Model 3. Model 3 has zero foot space if you put driver seat on the floor which I do. Seat is 3inch lower too. And you have a lot less headroom as well. Im literally changing from a 3 to a Y because the backseat is infinitely better in the Y.

I can afford a model 3 but not a model Y, I've got a dog so whilst I'm totally sold on the spec in an M3 compared to other electric cars, I just can't see it being practical for dog owners like me ? Whether I had a Y or an M3 I'd always have to buy extra matting and protection to stop the dog hairs but this saloon/sedan configuration is pretty crap i.e. There are very few dog guard solutions that allow you to keep the dog in the boot with the back seats down, similar to like a fireguard ?

These cars are so noisy, my X5 is about 63 decibels at around 70mph, and it doesn’t change much even at 80mph.

How is it at the shoulders height? Would the baby seat has more space when it's rear facing?

Also consider that this test puts the heat pump at a disadavange. Major sources of heat for cabin heating by heat pumps come from recycled heat generated during normal operation. That would've been wasted heat in resistive heating systems.

while the rear seats are not wider, the usable width of the Y is greater. you can easily see that by looking at the arm rest. the arm rest and middle seat is actually wider so it is easier to accomodate 3 adults where, the rear seats of the 3 is middle arm rest is smaller and the seats are more sculped making it really only usable for 2 adults. a lot of the rear seats of the 3 width is wasted on the side cushioning due to the sculping. the rear seats in the y are flat. so more of the Y's width is actually usable. this is why you cannot simply use interior dimensions as a true comparison as the seating position and sculping of the seats change the actual usable space.

Page 11:00 die transfer from black seat belt? Ideally use white seat belt. If not an option, add a barrier between seat belt and the white seat. Solid barrier in seat or in the belt. Such as single side silicone tape on seat, or a coating on the belt. Coating that does not harm the belt nylon tissue either mechanically or chemically. Is waxing the belt OK? What do you think?

I appreciate your video. I was looking around for this information. I didn't know that the seats were the same between models (but that makes sense). Funny how if you add ground clearance to the Highest seat position for each, that the difference is only 3.5 inches. It seems so much taller in the Y.
