Immanuel: The God of Speech
Переглядів 2528 днів тому
As we celebrate the Christmas season and consider the birth and incarnation of Jesus, let’s remember that Jesus’s birth was the birth of God’s Word. Jesus is the ultimate speech-act of God that reveals God’s identity, desires, and ultimately, through which God causes amazing things to happen. “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.” (The Message). This assumes the answer is always a compromise somewhere in the middle. Some truths are absolute, and don't fall on a spectrum.
simple Follow Jesus Praise and Worship Almighty God one Billion men want to do what Almighty God Promise to do Mankind want to work harder than God when God made the world in six Days and mankind messing it up for years with to much lies and fault egos high mindedness Luke 18:19 love Revolution people God is love and peace be still Let God rise
Matthews gospel the angel is sitting outside on the rock., In Mark the angel is inside the tomb and in Luke its TWO angels INSIDE the tomb. John Mary comes sees the tomb open, goes and tells Peter and John who come and check the tomb and encounter NO angels. Mary sits OUTSIDE and looks inside the tomb and sees two. She meets the gardener who she realizes is Jesus. So Matthew two marys, Mark two Marrys and Salome Luke Mary and a bunch of women and in John Mary by herself.
Deut. 6:8-9 You have heard it said no one can keep the law. Read Deut. 6:8-9 In Rev. says it is those who keep the Commandments and the Testimony of Jesus that will make up the true church. The Testament of Jesus is the Sermon on the Mount. It is those who have the words from His mouth, or better known as the Holy Spirit. Do you know His voice? It seems no one reads the Sermon on the Mount, or they just miss where Jesus tells us to seek the will of the Father. Or those who teach against the law. It is those who keep the Commandments and the Testimony of Jesus (The Commandments and the Sermon) that make up the church. If Jesus fulfilled the law when He was here on earth, then why didn't He come as a Lord or Priest?. If our parents kept the law of the land, does that mean we don't have to? Those who teach no law are not teaching what Jesus taught. If we would keep the law, Ten Commandments, as He teaches in Deut.6:8-9, we too can and should keep it as He did.
Cool?..
You really should not talk about God stuff. You lack serious knowledge in order to do so. God is a family name a bloodline that starts with Father in Heaven. God is the family name that Father in Heaven, is the Father of. QUESTION FOR YOU: John 1:1-3 tell us, how many are in the God family name? (Does that keep the trinity teaching intact as is, of 3 or is 3 a lie of Satan's?) Read John 1:1-3 a few times if needed for it is the most important part in the Bible for it tells us who/what God is and how many right now are in The God Family. The foundation of everything is built upon that knowledge. Give answer and if needed, I will correct and help you further. Read John 1:18 first statement and tell me how that, is true.
All i have to say is science and medicalwas poor till current times so dont you think jesus could have not been dead
All the animals could talk hen. And I thought the serpent was satan
Thank you for your comment! It is noteworthy that if you read the story, the Bible never says that all the animals could talk or identifies the serpent as Satan. These are assumptions that we make, but they are not state or suggested by the actual text.

Do you believe His story is written in the stars... ❤
I believe Jesus’s story is primarily witnessed to in Scripture.
If you need to speak for god giving voices… god didn’t get the memo!
First Corinthians 14:33-35 As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church 1 Timothy 2:11-12 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. . . . She must be quiet.
Thank you for your comment! What I’m saying has nothing to do with what a woman can do in worship or whether a woman can hold a leadership role, which both those passages are concerned with. I am merely saying that church leaders need to listen to the voices of the women in their congregation.
@@ThinkingTheologically-wx2qu how can the leaders listen to the women if the women aren't allowed to talk?
The context of Paul's words is the Corinthians worship assembly. So, if you want to apply the passage then it only applies to the worship gathering. However, you read a few verses prior, you'll find that women are prophesying in the Corinthian worship and Paul has no problem with it. Therefore, it seems that Paul is saying something other than that women cannot speak. If we don't allow women to speak, we are directly limiting God's work through his Spirit that is possessed by all Christians.
What part of the bible do you want to follow and what parts don’t you want to follow?
Thank you for your comment! All of the Bible is important and beneficial, but no one follows all of it. We don’t follow all the laws in Leviticus or greet each other with kisses like James says. The point of theology is determining what applies to us and how it applies. This conversation is just asking those questions. I’m not sure if you actually listened to the entire thing, but we make it clear that we are not pushing any agendas about what to believe or follow.
Satan is now Santa Claus. Same outfit! Just ask Sam Smith. Santa is Satan again. Satan comes from Catholic Lie’s and BS. I Laugh at fools!!
There's a different verse in KJV but it says Princes of Darkness in high places
Thank you for your comment. Yes! The phrases of principalities, powers, and authorities all mean something along the line of one who has authority or rules. The interesting thing is that all of these words are plural. Paul is not talking about a singular entity, but a force or multiple beings that we go to battle with.
Appreciate this a lot! I just started diving into scholarly works and books and scholars and it has majorly challenged some of the things I’ve grown up believing. I’ve struggled to know how to engage with scholarly information especially when the phrase “scholarly consensus” is thrown around. When that phrase is used, how do we know what scholars are in agreement, how many, is it 40% of scholars or 60%? I’ve been enjoying the works of Dr Michael Heiser and just recently discovered Dan McCllenan. I enjoy both of them but man it’s shakin things up for me and I’m not quite sure how to process what I’m learning.
Thank you for your thoughts. When I got into the scholarly side of biblical studies when I began my undergraduate degree, it too changed many of the views I had grown up believing. Now, I'm pursuing a Ph.D., so I'm fully into the scholarly side. I would encourage you to check out our blog, thinkingtheologically.org. Our podast can be found on all the podcasting platforms. Our goal is to make the scholarly study of the Bible more accessable to Christians. We are even in the middle of a podcast series on the spiritual realm, which has been highly influenced by Dr. Michael Heiser.
He has Jesus, and that's all he needed, his faith was strong
Job does have a level of trust in God. However, he had no nor does the OT have a conception of Jesus. However, at the end of the story God tells Job to repent. So, his faith waivers somewhere along the way.
The person who took for Job was the devil not God to show that when bad things do happen it's not necessarily the judgement of God but it could be the devil. And he was tested by God and tempted the devil, his response determines the outcome and he did a great job and he got his reward. And he lived up to 140 yrs, so he must have had good health and God restored back what the devil destroyed and rewarded him perfectly (Job 42:12-17).🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for your comment! So, a couple of things to point out. First, the devil was not the one who took Job’s things The Hebrew word “satan” did not refer to one evil being at this point in the languages history. It merely referred to an accuser or opposer. Also notice that the “satan” is in the presence of God. Couldn’t be the devil. Job, generally, did a good job in responding, but note that at the end God tells him to repent. So, he had to do something wrong. The wrong thing was trying to explain God rather than dwelling with God. Job’s health condition was a skin condition. So, he could have kept the condition and still lived a long life.
I mean, 🤔 WHAT???😮
When you finally figure out what you are talking about let us know ! What part of other religions make up the torah i'd like to know!
The best examples, though not in the Torah, are Psalms that were originally songs to Baal, which were repurposed by Israel to refer to YHWH. For example, see Psalm 29. Consider some of the similarities between the Torah and other religions/civilizations. Almost all Ancient Near Eastern communities have a flood account, many have a set of laws similar to the 10 commandments, and most also have the story of a suffering righteous man, like Job. Also, notice how, throughout God's relationship with Israel, Israel struggles to conceptualize God as the God of the entire earth, not just a local deity like the gods of other people. Now, with that beings said, Israel's God is also quite unique from other gods. The prime example being Israel's creation account, compared to other ANE creation accounts. I am not claiming YHWH is just a made up God, simply that many of the OT conceptions of God grow out of Israel's surrounding environment.
You’ve just realized that religion is used to make rules to control people. And if you put the punishment after life, you really can control them forever. You’re one step away from realizing it’s all a lie.🎉
