    Hello. Can you tell me how to choose an arbitrary orientation for my track in kicad, for me it is always at an angle of 45 degrees and I want it to be at an angle of 90 degrees, is it possible to do something so that I can change the angle of the track over time? work, for example, like in Sprint Layout when you press the space bar?

    • @Zipties_and_Ducttape
      @Zipties_and_Ducttape 17 днів тому

      I am not sure if I show this in the Vid, if not, sorry. You can‘t chose an arbitrary angle, only 45 and 90 degrees, but you can set points your track goes along by clicking. Kicad will always choose the shortest path between the starting or last point, and if that is a straight line with a 90 degree ang, it will do that.

      @@Zipties_and_Ducttape Hello, I read the documentation about KiCad and it turns out that to change the angle you need to click on slash or counter plus slash

    Brother, how to choose a appropriate footprint to a symbol...?

    • @Zipties_and_Ducttape
      @Zipties_and_Ducttape Місяць тому

      I might have not made that clear in my Video, sorry for that. Depending on the components you have or are planning on using you can search for the right footprint. If you don’t yet know which exact components you are going to use , you can just do a quick google search for an appropriate component

    This is a good start but you;ve missed an essential part of the process and one that usually stops new users. The electrical rules check is so important for creating PCBs. It prevents basic errors. I hope you make more videos on this topic as you have a good, clear voice and deliver the information well. Great job!

    Looks good but if you printed it upside down, you can have the texture of the bed on the faceplate instead of the smoothing done by the nozzle, to make it look a little bit better. 😊

    Have you actually tried to print this? I really don't think it will work - IMO that 'bridge' is going to be impossible to print, even if Cura will make a slice for it... but you don't actually need it to go all the way through, just make little cone shaped bits either side.

    • @Zipties_and_Ducttape
      @Zipties_and_Ducttape 5 місяців тому

      If have printed a very similar model with different dimensions, but yes depending on the bridging capability you might have to reduce the bridge length. I know about the pin hinge. If you think that is a problem you can either use a different hinge design or make multiple short bridges.
