Sounds like a Trainwreck Express to me. I would love to own a Naylor. They are badass amps!
Never played a real Trainwreck, but have played clones. Totally different vibe. Trainwreck needs to be loud to do it's thing, is raw, open, direct pick attack, super reactive to picking hand and guitar volume. Naylor has a great master volume with plenty of preamp gain, allowing for good sound at lower volumes, more of a bouncy feel on the attack, can be a darker amp, more low mids, sweet singing sustainy lead tone. Good luck grabbing one. Naylors could be had for a decent price, not too long ago. Not anymore, unfortunately.
@ I recently built an Express and with 6v6 RCA Blackplates, sounded a lot like your Naylor. True the Wrecks are loud and very dynamic. The guy who I built it for said it’s the best amp he’s ever played and he has owned many high-end amps. I doubt he’s played a Naylor!
Gregg Dubose????
😅
No doubt papa het used these on puppets
Yeah! That's why I popped em in the Explorer. It's the sound.
F’n dope man. What grabbed me by the boo-boo was the warm way you landed on your chords.. Cool micro-intervals littered all amongst your musical magnificence.
Sweet! Thank. Just learned this stuff today. Dipping my tones into the jazzy stuff. Trying to process and understand it, rather than just learn the licks.
My timing is sketchy, but trying to at least land on the changes
GREAT!!!! Sounds amazing, but Vs means against, not with. I thought it was a comparison
@@FernandoLopez-gf2sr used a looper, DIG first, Dm101 next. I have better comparison videos. This one was a quickie showing the difference in overall sound.
@@FernandoLopez-gf2sr ua-cam.com/video/c6H_RJvwovI/v-deo.htmlsi=8YFjXyOCuRjVK7oy
Cool comparison! The Marshall sounds really good. And if you're boosting - I would rather boost an old Marshall than a new Friedman.
Both great! A ppimv on the 4104 would even things up. Plex is great, 4104 still here. ;)
The Deliverance has KT88 power tubes?
Whats the purple klon pedal make and model? Sounds great. I like the cherry bomb, purple pedal best. Timmy and belle are awesome too for special flavor
@@williamhickman7481 That's a Klon and Prince of Tone in one box, by Doxasound. All great pedals you named.
are you muting the top string with your middle finger
Never noticed it, but I do when I don't want it to ring out. I had to play to check n see. 😅
@@LPMojoGL thats smart, i usually use my index on the string below but most the time i bend the string upwards ill have to try it out
Disposable Heros
Nice A young child told his mother “When I grow up I’m going to be a guitarist.” His mother responded, “Well honey, you know you can’t do both.”
😂😂😂 true
Have a Godwood in the bridge of a Les Paul Custom! Love that pickup!
Same! I've had them in my Explorer & LP. One of my favs.
Ceramic pickup, greenbacks and a Plexi really nail Adams sound. Especially the old stuff. Crazy how similar it is to EVH early tone.
Dm 101 had it !
🔥🔥🔥
Mud
Great tone, And playing!
Nice !!!
Sounds great
Lovely
I’m fighting with myself on whether to get a rotovibe. Even the cheapest listings are around $200 after shipping, but they sound so cool
@iHateRats-mt3sj I love the Rotovibe. Only negative is that it isn't true bypass, and affects your sound a bit
Hell of a rig man!
That was sick dude. The perfect amount of shreddy/ musical.
Sounds sweet brother
But the toes! Lol. Thanks man.
P90s in a Tele 🫡
I didn't have one of either, now have both. It has the tone. 1 PC mahogany body, thick.
You into Eddie Hazel?? Put some EH on it🥓. Sounds like a cozy moment amongst a Stratocaster bass pickup… ”The Flute’y Blues”. Those songs are super cool when you have a “Astronomy Domine” invasive entrance, fracturing your littl’ twinkle toes moment in time over there.. and then break open them Cemetary Gates type of attack on a cozy clean bedroom slipper’s flutey blues type a song. verse/songs.
@@jaykafcas4342 never heard of him. I'll check him out.
Sounds great mate 🤙🤙
This channel bout to blow up 💥🙏
Beautiful gear brother, however unfortunately the talent just isn’t there. Maybe a few lessons and you post again? Love from Estonia
Sure man! You give lessons? Point me to em
@@LPMojoGL I teach at drop d sounds. Would love to work with you
@@LPMojoGLNo I’m renowned guitar tutor in Estonia. I don’t need to post pentatonic solos showing my toes
Weedoo weedoo
No
Thanks for the demo man! Is your original amp signal already dirty from the 800 pre-amp itself or is it clean with the only dirt coming from the pedal itself?
Thanks! I had the preamp gain turned up to like classic rock crunch, then boosted with pedals for a tighter sound with more gain. Pretty standard for JCM800s, or any amp really, when you want tighter attack and more gain.
Nice brown sound mate!
Thanks! The Friedman SS is killer, and the GZ mods take it up a notch. Of course, the Andy is one of the players out there.
Suhr, Friedman...and The conjuring ! Great playing ! I wonder what didn't you like about the stock amp before you mod it ?
@crimsontowerfullmoon8646 Friedman SS V1 is great, could be a bit dark and stuffy unless cranked. Friedman's V2 is an improvement. This has V2 specs, with these extras: knobs for NFB, depth, a switch for less gain, (giving it 2 vs 4 gain options) and a switch that switches between stock Friedman or a brighter tighter sound.
I bought one of Them EVH 78 Eruption Guitars They Won't Stay in Tune but They Feel good to Play except for the Tuning Stability
Had the same problem, initally. They'll stay in tune with some work.
Sounds Awesome man.... Is the bogner 2 x v30 or 1 x v30 & 1 x creambaack 65?
Thanks! Cool amp for the $. I was playing thru the Marshall 4x12. The Bogner has a v30/h75 mix.
Good old rock n roll
Awesome
Sounds good man
Thanks! Ground Zero Ampworks does great stuff.
Awesome playing. Great control & range of tone. What string gauge do you have setup on that LP?
Thanks! I've gotten to where I'm using 9s on all my electrics. The LP has Elixir Nanowebs. Great stings that my friend turned me onto. I scoffed when he suggested them, because I didn't like the coated strings I've tried in the past. But the Nanos retain the feel and sound, and last a lot longer. I'm a convert. Otherwise, I use D'Addario. I have a box of Ernie Ball 9.5s that, frankly, suck. They sound like old, dead strings, from the get-go. I did get them on a MF SDOTD, so they may be just too old.
@@LPMojoGL nice! Thanks for sharing. Your control is dialed in with the 9s. I’ve only tried Exlirs on acoustics, and they always rang clear and balanced. Will give them a try
Word. Sounds like EVH jamming with ZZ Top. I’m currently working on a whole new way of approaching & playing the guitar. I play multiple instruments on the guitar. No more pick scrap wank. Just like that rad sun mirror behind you dude, This new parade I’m on, comes entirely within & out with no reservations..mining that seam.. Until it works. What do I got to lose, pick scraping & palm muting my way around the fretboard?? I hope you & all amongst you are good dude! DIGGIN’ that Ground Zero modded SS100🤘🏻
@jaykafcas4342 Thanks man! EVH and Rev Willy G, ain't a bad way to be. Sounds like you're getting loose and free with that approach. It's hard for me to break out of the usual, but sometimes, usually after hours of playing, I hit this zone where stuff just comes. Cheers and best to you and yours!
No feedbacks?
Negative! This ES 335 hardly ever feeds back.
I have the plex with the boss evh delay and a fryette power station bc of the loop. I'm having trouble with the wiring of the delay. Can you please help me. Are you using the 4cm?
Not using 4cm. Sounds like you're just wanting some mono delay. In which case, I'd run the Plexi into the Fryette and the delay in the effects loop, send to input, return from mono out back to Fryette.
Thank you ill try that today
Friedman for me - just tested a JJ 20 amp today at the store
6550 are awful. Friedman is garbage . U need tons of outboard gear to get a passable sound. Massive dissapointment. Waste of money.
Friedman is obviously one of the best sounding and selling modded Marshall brands that has ever been available. It's you if you can't get a decent sound out of it. Happy to be of help if you wanna try to dial it in. And 6550s are great!!!
@LPMojoGL look if you think it's s great amp...please buy mine...all I can say is you must haven't played many great amps with all due respect
@LPMojoGL it maybe the best brand u heard...but it's nothing special. I can only compare it to what I've owned which is near everything. It's not in same universe as my boogie mkiic+ mark iii. Caswell modded marshall(thanks george)..bogner fish...my 68 marshall plexi...my 77 plexi...my 72 jmp...it's better than the lameass friedman smallbox...it's better than the bugera v22...better than crate...lol lord just can't wait to find a sucker to unload this pile on
@@lancethompson218were you just too stupid to play it before you "bought it" I think you're just a troll with no life, no friends, no self respect, no hobbies other than being an asshole and trying to makeup for your own lack of confidence and ability and lives in your moms basement...
@@lancethompson218 Funny how guys on the internet just happen to own all those amps.
And what extra gear is being used? I. Real life the amp is medium gain. A joke. One of the worst purchases i ever made
Just used a klon type pedal up front, and then the delay out to a wdw setup. The Plex is actually a killer sounding amp, and I've had a lot over the decades.
@LPMojoGL when u have to use lots of outboard gear it's best to just buy a better amp. I have a plex....it's fir sale in trade....my caswell modded marshall I use nothing but a guitar. Has way more gain and marshall tone even a bedroom levels...near every marshall or plexi clone is a dissapointment. I keep hearing people regurgitate internet friedman hype...but when it comes time to sell one. Crickets. Remember people get paid for their opinions on UA-cam.
Very well spoken, Man!
Sounds great! Do you prefer a 2x12 in the middle, or would a 1x12 work just as well?
Rig.
wet, dry, wet?
Hang on a minute I'm just trying to figure out your setup here, you're taking a line level tap from the suhr into the sde3000, into the PRS archon 25s, and there's a thru to the main speaker cabinet?
The Suhr RL has a "thru to speaker" jack. When used, the Suhr's reactive load is bypassed, and it becomes a line out with volume knob. Plex into Suhr, thru speaker to Friedman cab. Suhr line out into SDE, stereo out to R/L Archon power amps. Input level into SDE controlled by Suhr, adjusting volume of delay vs dry signal.
