How do you get the door to open if it stuck closed

Jules, thanks for posting this! I have an 2006 Altima SER Auto and replaced the starter over the weekend starting with your video. Some tips for others doing this repair: REMOVAL - Replacing the starter is on page SC-16 of the Altima service manuals. You can find the .PDF collection online. See SC.PDF - In the video, Jules’ starter is missing the heat shield covering the starter. Mine had the heat shield still intact. Easy to remove with two 10 mm bolts. - The most difficult part of the repair is re-attaching the wire-cover bracket to the starter. This bracket protects the starter/battery cable. - You can see the bracket at 4:39 in the video. It’s the one with the two 10 mm bolts. Jules had to remove this in order to get the starter out. I did too. - After you get the top 14 mm bolt out, remove the 10 mm bolts from the wire-cover bracket and push it aside. - At 5:53 in the video, you’ll see another bracket still attached to the starter motor. I left that bracket in place on the engine and only removed the starter. - Before removing the starter you need to unclip the ignition wire. The clip is attached nearby on the front of the motor. Note the route of the wire as you’ll want to follow the same path with the new starter. - Next, remove the starter. - With the starter out, I removed the wire-cover bracket from 4:39 in the video, freeing it from a single push-mount-cable-tie with long needle nose pliers. INSTALLATION - I covered the ignition wire of the new starter with ¼ inch wiring loom (Harbor Freight). My CarQuest replacement didn’t come with it? - Put the new starter in place but don’t install the bolts. You want it “floating” in the cavity. - Next, re-attach the wire-cover bracket to the starter with the 10 mm bolts but don’t tighten. You want everything loose. - Feed the ignition wire up and around. - Now, maneuver everything in place. Install the 14 mm bolts and tighten. Torque specs are 49-61 (Newton meters) - Attach the starter/battery cable and secure with the 12 mm nut. - Next, I zip tied the ignition wire to the wire nearby. I did not reconnect the push mount tie. - Position the wire-cover bracket and tighten the 10 mm bolts. - Connect the ignition wire. - If you have it, install the heat shield. - Done

You need to delete the stupid bell! Most are doing it. Couldnt watch your video because you keep doing it. Very irritating.

Why did you replace it any symptoms?

Honda filters are $6 on Amazon (10 pack for $60). If you go to quicky oil change place, you'll lose have the screws holding up splash guard❗️❗️❗️

Great work! But word of advice for future projects. Never jam anything into the motor oil mouth. See that piece of metal there, it is know to break with very little pressure, and I think you can imagine how that would go.

With your awd module was bad was it still drivable? If so I take it didn’t give you any issues other then being raw instead of awd?

Don't get under a car supported only by plastic ramps if you care about staying alive. Spend the 1 extra minute an put jack stands under also. Plastic ramps can collapse.

Prime the filter

If you open the oil cap and crack the oil filter open, the oil drains faster. Nice edit brotha!

Pretty clean change, although never trust plastic ramps, never. I would use a straight 3/8 ratchet with a six point socket. No fun stripping out the drain plug. Always recheck the level and reset service light, there is a video on UA-cam for any car.
