    Thank you! I've never understood what happened to the negative side of the wave when electricity flows through a bridge rectifier but now I understand. With time and patience I hope to be able to create my own logic circuits, or at least understand them well enough to use off the shelf circuits to create custom components.

    Hi, if the probe length is 1700mm then what is the LRV and URV

    • @InstrumentationTechnician
      @InstrumentationTechnician 3 місяці тому

      The LRV and URV are determined by our process requirements, not based on probe length as long as the URV heighy is not higher than the probe length. For example, if your level probe length is 1000cm, you can set LRV as 0cm (0%) at the probe's bottom and then set the URV as 800cm (100%) at higher probe level. Again it is the process requirements determine the height or level. Hope this will help.

    The actuator is direct acting when the spring acting on the diaphragm is either in compression and pushing up against the diaphragm from below, or is in tension and pulling the diaphragm up - in this latter case the spring is placed above the diaphragm. In a reverse acting actuator the opposite is true - the spring is either in compression and pushing down against the diaphragm, from above, or is in tension and pulling the diaphragm down. So there are actually four of these diaphragm actuators possible, not two. This point is important because the actuator can be direct acting even with the spring above the diaphragm, if the spring is in tension rather than compression, and likewise it may be reverse acting even with the spring below the diaphragm. It is the position of the spring as well as whether it is in compression or tension that determines whether it is direct or reverse acting, not just the position. And technically, the valve body is direct acting when the plug pushes down on the seat, and reverse acting when it pulls up against the seat. These valves can be installed on horizontal lines like you show in your video, as well as in vertical lines, so again the point is important to make, as the plug in a direct acting valve body will not always be above the seat, nor below in a reverse acting valve body - picture one of these valves flipped 90 degrees - the plug would be horizontal to the seat rather than above or below in this case, so the above explanation is the technically correct one.

    what if the flow sensor is for ammonia, but i want to have it to measure the flow for mixed gas contain nitrogen, hydrogen and ammonia. how to calculate the conversion factor and to calculate the equivalent flow?

    • @InstrumentationTechnician
      @InstrumentationTechnician 5 місяців тому

      Hi @noorashikinmohamad3175, to my understanding the conversion factor is used for single gas instead of gas mixtures for simple manual calculation. However, may be there is software available in the market specifically design to calculate the equivalent flowrate for gas mixtures. Thanks

      Hi @nguyenvandieu318, to my understanding as an ordinary technician, the Cv will change when the valve opening percentage is changed. Theoretically speaking, If the valve opening stays at the same opening, then its Cv should stays the same value at this mentioned valve opening percentage too.

    this is confusing, Siemens website says that terminating resistor has to be ON on the First device as well and the last device. All intermediate devices should be OFF

    • @InstrumentationTechnician
      @InstrumentationTechnician 11 місяців тому

      Hi @afzalbyabani1373, You are right ! In fact, for all fieldbus loop whether it is profibus, foundation fieldbus, etcs, the first end terminator and the last end terminator in a loop should be terminated with terminator. If someone accidentally switch the terminator from off to "on" somewhere in the middle of the loop, the rest of the "downstream" devices which located after this middle terminator will not be able to communicate as illustrated in the video. So, must always ensure only both first and last end terminators are switched "on" only and the rest of the terminators must remain "off".
