Not sure where they are located exactly or where they were fishing, but where I live there is nothing illegal about catching, releasing or keeping most shark species. There are only a handful that are prohibited and to be honest they make mighty tasty Shark Steaks on the Grille. Karens are the worst.

it's not illegal but i dont see the purpose in what you're doing? Why don't you get scuba diving training and actually swim to them instead of yanking them out of the water just because you want to stay safe on land. I dont blame the lady for being upset. Any time someone claims they work for (?)' And they won't leave you alone immediately after telling them that you feel threatened by them. Immediately turn it on them by asking for thier name , id , department etc. If they do, great, take their deets and walk away. If they don't, remind them that its against the law to impersonate ( ?) and you are recording for the perpose of legal protection. They generally run away yelling expletives. Damb funny.

I looked it up. It isn't illegal to catch sharks, because frankly it can happen. Especially given bait used can attract a stupid multitude of fish. The legality of it comes in if you don't release the shark. Which you did. Beautiful catch btw
