From Florence Foster Jenkins 1
Переглядів 54 тис.7 років тому
In the 1940s, New York socialite Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep) dreams of becoming a great opera singer. Unfortunately, her ambition far exceeds her talent. The voice Florence hears in her head is beautiful, but to everyone else it is quite lousy. Her husband St. Clair goes to extreme lengths to make sure his wife never finds out how awful she truly is. When Florence announces her plans...
How much was a musician making at that time? Was $150 a month already a handsome sum?
I love his voice! So calm like his music!
what piano song is it? i love it sm!!!
The Swan by Camille Saint-Saens 😊
He Is more talented than Jim ♥️
My Favorite piano song ever. The Swan.
Didn't know Prince Charles was here 😂
I’m more of a Jason Statham and John Wick kinda of a cat but this looks good
Here's the modern version of Florence Foster Jenkins, Mr. Bob Strauch singing and performing guitar. ua-cam.com/video/gi5GGaOYoJ8/v-deo.html

Check him out in his new film, Annette on Amazon Prime. He is so amazing in that role and he can sing too a bit lol
He still has Howard's nervous smile. 😅
Hi Wella how are you doing?
IT'S PRINCE CHARLES
Honestly, the very best scene in a movie I have ever seen in my life.
Meryl streep is just so talented a real actress a real woman..
What’s the song called that he is playing guys in also a musician and wanna test it out
It's the swan from the Carnival of the animals
Hey it's Prince Charles.
Nah it's Johnny boy.
Some Saint-Saens bullshit 😂 love it
that killed me
I thought the actor playing the pianist was Blake Harrison...
About a foot too short!
very good
Hyacinth Bucket of her time!
How can someone who can sing like a nightingale can make herself sing like banshee?
Simon Hellberg is so versatile, unique performance! 👏🏻
Lol, as a learning singer I can tell that Meryl Streep was having an uneasy time trying to sound like Florence Foster Jenkins. Even her 'bad voice', while obviously not on-pitch, still sounds miles better than many terrible singers I have heard (and certainly a lot better than anything FFJ ever did).
Great Meryl!
When i'm really not enjoying this. Lets think about the positive... THEIR ACTING IS GREAT!
Seriously??? Somebody please bring Simon Cowell over!!!
It's Lawrence Durrell! 0:53
@Lilah Helmer Loved him on the Durrells! 😊😊
I can ful mobi
Lol, I liked it a lot! :)
WOooooOoooOoooo AH AH AH OH OH de la grand mimosa woooOoOoo
I started to laugh so sudden and loud.... in public 😂🤣😂🤣.
The real FFJ's singing was so much worse than this. Meryl Streep can't compete.
Meryl tried her best but she's a great singer so this would have been real challenging
How much is $150 in the 1940s compared to today?
at least $6k maybe more!
FFJ met McMoon in the 20’s. This translates to a 2021 figure of around 2400usd.
Helberg's expressions of shock and confusion are a great. He's trying to figure out if he's in some alternate universe or if everyone around him is barking mad.
I love Mr. McMoon !!! 😂
This film is exquisite .
I am the opposite of her: my voice, in my head, sounds annoyin', but the others say I have a great voice, when I sing...
sLuRRpY106 Oii Choke on an apple.
So what are you trying to say...?🙂
Hugh Grant looks sooooooooooo old I think it's the make up
Está mejor la película francesa 'Marguerite'. Misma trama pero mejores actuaciones.
OMG!! That was delicious!!
M. Antonio Sims b i t c h w h a t " d e l i c i o u s ! ! " 😶🤔😂
Idk what I laugh at more, the singing or McMoon's face. LMAO!
I have such a hard time taking this movie seriously because I can tell how incredible of a singer she is just by the poorly sings. She has incredible technique and that’s pretty obvious. And she has such control over her voice she almost has difficulty making it flat where it needs to be.
It’s based on a true story though
I know, I just think merryl Streep is awesome, and I can tell she can sing. Placing her in a character that can’t sing seems absurd
As Stephen Frears commented "It takes a great singer to sing very badly."
ES maravillosa !!!!!!No puedo parar de reirme
great film. it is really worth seeing it
Meryl Streep, and the entire cast were superb in this movie. It gave me such an appreciation for Ms. Jenkins.
"I thought you were off score"
This proves that white people can't sing
Please what is the name of song? 😊
The swan
Some Saint-Saëns bullshit
Use the air !!!
Liam Osburn "Raise the soft palate!" My favorite!
Apparently, according to Hugh Grant, Meryl Streep purposely tried to make him laugh and you can almost see him losing it
