Saint-Saëns: The Swan
"The Swan" (or "Le Cygne") is the penultimate movement from "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns. This was the only movement that the composer allowed to be played in public during his lifetime as he believed that the other parts of "The Carnival of the Animals" were too frivolous and would damage his reputation as a serious composer.

I read Siegfried's story briefly before watching this video. I would say that it matters! This way, I enjoyed both animation and music much more. It was the first time for me to listen to Wagner. Knowing the story, I realized how the animation matches brilliantly with the music and how beautiful the music is. Thank you very much for these charming videos!

Yes - some people think I should put subtitles on the videos to explain what is going on - I am not sure. Maybe more of a synopsis of the opera, but then again most people don’t want to read loads of stuff online. Anyway so glad to hear that you have now discovered Wagner - his music is awesome …!

@@Conductori Not subtitles, but breafly explainig ( in a few lines) the subject of the music and/or the style of the composer, depending on the case. I just wanted to let you know that you have written some explanation already. It might be helpful for some viewers( like me!) if you add a few more lines.

Bravooo! A very lovely music accompanied with beautiful and meaningful animation. You make clips for classical music. If in the future, by any chance, you developed your field of interest, I suggest the song " Somewhere far away" performed by Dmitri Hvorostovsky in his unic style. The lyrics of the song are very beautiful too.

No one and i mean NO ONE could write music like Rachmaninoff. The 2nd concerto is really a story in three parts. The 1st movement being the acknowledgement of despair and confronting it. The 2nd movement is the accepting of loss and the beginning of healing. The 3rd movement is a triumph of joy over despair. There are many that can play the 2nd piano concerto without missing a note and with great power but still something is missing. You cannot impart the message of this work without having been deeply in love and then having lost that love forever. I have heard great virtuosos play this piece and have impressed me. The best performance of this piece i ever heard was by a great virtuoso past his prime that had me weeping several times during the performance. I hope some of you here will have the same experience.

Married woman gets it on with a younger married man...She will now remember the affair for the rest of her life. Not at all a good idea for her family or her own mental health as she deals with the unintended consequences that will plague her memory for decades. . The Biblical passage of "not turning to the left or the right" from Joshua 1 "so that she will have success" comes to mind. the Bible gives us wisdom for today if we take a moment to read it's wisdom that is placed there for our benefit.
