wish I could get better footage but it was very crowded and there was a wire fence in the way, oh well. any way please say turned for AusArmour fest 2023. i will be investing in a good video camera and will be filming a lot more than last year. thats if all geos to plan. and please sub this will only motivate me more to get good video.

Guderians Duck ;-) very front heavy due to its canon and amour. To counter this a bit they had to strengthen a lot in the suspension and we can see this from outside on the 2 first wheels which were made full steel instead of the rest with rubber layer. Not much of them were built.

Australian Divisions fought in North Africa helping to kick Rommel out so they were entitled to some of the war booty. The Japanese, whom the Australians were committed primarily, didn't have a lot of souvenirs. Australians were also part of the reserve in Great Britain until it was a certainty that the Germans could not cross the channel.

I think it was the Finns that nicknamed their surplus Pz.IV tanks "shakers" because they rode pretty badly compared to the torsion-bar suspended Stugs. That seems to hold up here. Still, it was a pretty good design for a leaf-spring system at the time.

Strategically, German tanks were cr ap. Heavy tanks (including the Panther) to impress Hitler for a medium tank war. Panther's just saw service in a continuous trail of defeats in their two years of operation.

Yes, but he didn't sell it. That was a lie on the show. The tank belonged to the Cadman brothers - they sold it to the Australian museum, Bruce's company was merely contracted to restore it. The Cadman's used to run a huge show in the UK called 'War and Peace' and this tank was a static display every year, as Panther 425. It didn't run back then and the engine was stored in the garage belonging to another family member. Bruce's team put it all back together and did a superb job. I believe one of the brothers now lives in Australia and he appears to have been helping the museum to acquire armour for their collection.
