I think it was written by Tim Massey. Bassist w Junior Sisk. He was in Wyatt Rice and santa Cruz at the time and is singing this song on the album Picture In A Tear or somethin like that. Great!!!

The sorrowful lyrics of this masterful song begs for the voice of Tony Rice, though if he can't step up to the mike, I'll take the next best thing -- having him next to Allison, strutting the guitar. This IS Tony Rice's signature song, IMO.

This was one of the best sets of music I've ever heard - thanks for posting! AKUS has always been super-talented, but after adding Jerry Douglas their sets became more INTERESTING. This MF Watson Stage set featured only songs of Tony Rice; adding his playing to AKUS & JD was a masterstroke. Tony's since done similar dates with Mountain Heart; I'm sure they're great, but don't see how they could touch this!

I went down 111 tuesday rite through Sierra home town and I was a little upset that there wasn't a sign with her name on anywhere. I thought that the people of byrdstown would have signs on 111 saying something about it beening her and the band road. So you Tenn. people need to get togather and fix this unjust you're doing to her and the band. She is the best thing ever to come out Byrdstown and you all know it. At least put a sign in front of the business, it.ll be good for business KY. man

There are way too many tony clones out there. Ever body needs to develope their own style. Its fine to take licks from other people, but just put your own twist on things.
