I agree, Peach is VERY underrated. A lot of people that don't play Peach / lower level Peaches don't think she is worth the effort or loses way more MUs than she really does. But once you put in the time, she is incredibly rewarding as we can see with Samsora, MuteAce, Umeki, Yalmanac, etc.

Honestly, if this game goes as long as melee (probably not, although maybe). Peach has all the tools to win every game. Peach is a melee character in ultimate.

I think Doc is a solid mid tier. I also felt that way about him in Sm4sh but everyone likes to rank him near the bottom.

Kirby is mid because of the stage list for competitive play. You put him on a smaller stage that is hard to run he has an advantage; same with stages with weird geometry, his flexible hitboxes let's him attack from weird angles.

As a lucas main, Lucas’s neutral is amazing. I seriously do not understand why people keep calling him stubby. He has multiple swordie like disjoints that are extemely spammable and safe(fair and djcz are both minus 2 on shield and out range lucina’s fair). He has amazing shield pressure, amazing poking optins, great boxing tools(frame 2 jab, frame 3, -6 dtilt), and while pk fire is shieldable and doesnt have many confirms, its whole point is to get the opponent offstage where lucas is one of, if not the best character in the game at killing the opponent. As for disadvantage, yeah lucas has trouble landing, which is a problem, however he has so many momentum mix ups in the aie with pk fiee, magnet, and freeze, that he can nearly always make it back to ledge where he has a better chance of making it back. He only really struggles in disadvantage against very good ledgetrappers.

I’m curious if you’ll talk about Villager ever, I talked about him last video. You should do a video on the “obscure Low/Mid tier characters” like Villager, Duck Hunt, MAYBE Rosalina, Robin etc. Just for lore sakes, you may already know this: the best Villager in Smash 4 moved on to WORK FOR Nintendo and he held back Villager’s character a lot. Basically, less BS than before, but tbh it’s hard for me to decide after watching your videos if he’s a mid or low tier character. He has nothing outstanding about himself except for an interesting kit, but that’s it! As he’s my favorite character I hope that he gets buffed in some way. The biggest change I would give him is a cancelable Up B like GnW. I feel like it wouldn’t break his character but it make for nice mix ups with aerials and even platforms.

Id put kirby as a low mid tier imo. Overall id agree. Other mid tiers imo: zard, marth, chrom, inkiling, bowser, ivy, mew2, wii fit, ridley, lucario, puff, duck hunt, robin, villager, and bowsrJr.

In my opinion, and this may be a controversial one, Steve is kind of overhyped; yes, he has strengths no other character has, which is why he is so dominant, but he also has weaknesses no other character has, mainly his terrible base mobility; his reliance on resources can screw him over if he is forced to use them, and from my personal experiences, he has a hard time with the hyper offense. He is still top 1, no doubt about that, but he isn't in the Smash 4 Bayo tier; he is more of a fighter that you can't fight traditionally due to his sheer uniqueness, so you have to fight differently. Min Min and Kazuya are similar cases, high tiers who are fighters who functionally fight differently compared to other characters and therefore need different strategies to beat, but if you know those strategies, they aren't too bad.

As a Luigi player, I agree. He’s better than mid tier and it’s not even close. He’s the high end of high tier in my opinion, he has some bad weaknesses and doesn’t really have the tools to deal with certain characters’ playstyles so top tier is too much.

Lucas. Lucas. He has a true universal (except for Charizard facing one direction) infinite OUT OF SHIELD. Characters like fox (fast fallers) just die to ne djcz string because it combos into dair, and djcz bar kills at like 30.

I most definitely agree with toon link, ive been thinking hed do really good in this meta and when i saw esams most recent tier list, he thinks the same. I also think inkling will be very strong this meta. She goes even with the top 3, beats snake and only loses to rob peach and pika but its not too hard. She has the damage to keep up with the top tiers and the speed to bat them away. Closing a stock may be tough but i believe people will learn how to use her kit to be a solid counterpick. I think inkling now is what corrin was a year ago.

Maybe I’m biased cause she’s my main, but I swear Rosalina & Luma is a high tier just waiting to happen. Come back in another year and Dabuz’ll have everyone thinking she’s busted.

All the people calling Pit an "honest character" make me feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I think his Down B Orbitars is one of the most cracked defensive options in the game? Its supposed weakness of not covering below him doesn't seem like it actually takes effect 9 times out of 10 due to most attacks swinging in an arc and getting turned off by clipping one of the orbitars, and they're a second shield button that works in the air that allows Pit to get BIG frame advantage if you break them contrary to how actual shields work? This guy gets to land for free with these things as if he isn't already difficult enough to chase down with his multi-jumps.

I think people are too biased, conditioned, or *desentisized of what makes high tiers or what a high tier list SHOULD be*, there's so many high tiers in this game, and there's so many top tiers in this game. You put so many characters next to each other and it makes players think a lot of characters are mid tier or lower than we think they are. You can't look only at performance and match ups: what are the qualities that make it a high tier. It really just shows you can win with almost any character in the game, like 75% of the characters. Another thing I want to talk about is people initially play characters because it's their overall favorite character. So it's relatively possible to win with what you want. Until proven wrong, I think the true mid tier right now is Villager (my fave character). Also, like I feel like what's considered "low tiers" some of em are not actually bottom 10 for at least the reasons people give it. For example, bottom 10 character right now and Isabelle is more of a mid tier character. Isabelle almost got top 8 at Sumabato 53, Villager almost got top 8 at a major.

I will make people believe in Yoshi. That double jump can do crazy things.
