Minus the hwy riding, I had wayyyy more fun on my mt07 than my cbr1k.

Im 5'2 with a 30" inseam (when measured to the bottom of my foot) and this bike was easy for me when I went to a dealership to sit on. Tip-toe on each side and flat foot on one with other foot on the peg. It's pretty light, so it's comfortable to stand up even just on my toes. Im lucky to have a bigger inseam for my height, since otherwise anything above an r3 or ninja 400 would be a nightmare LOL. Dream starter bike, hoping to be able to get one in a little over a year with my mom's consent when i'm 17.

Honestly can agree with your points although I still don't think it's a great starter bike. Compared to an r6 you are right it's light and manoeuvrable. But compared to ninja 400's, a drz, crf, sumo/dirtbikes the kind of "bigger bikes" I started on (after riding 50cc and 125's), an r7 is heavy and uncomfortable, and much less fun around the backroads of the city. Harder to manoeuvre in tight spaces, does go fast quickly. They aren't accommodating of reduced radius counter steering, tight u turns and other things that are good to develop early on, but that can be hard to learn on a newer bike that you don't wanna drop with a huge turning circle that actually weighs a ton. That said I love my r7, it's grown on me even more over time. They are great bikes at a good price, with a ton of guides and best practices for working on, and the power band is smooth and manageable. So very easy to recommend.

Having to start on a 300 or 500 is a myth tbh my first dirtbike i bought at 18 with no experience was a ktm 450 xc w 2stroke and I never dumped it or anything besides on jumps way too big for my skill level and then the year after that I bought a hayabusa off a dude on Facebook marketplace without even having my endorsement and drove it just fine as long as you know how to ride a bicycle and aren't dumb get the bike you actually want so you don't have to go through resell hell like I see others go through

Bro this is the most underrated person i have ever watched this made my day ❤❤(btw in my opinion the easiest wheelie to learn is a clutch up basically you go clutch in, gas, then let the clutch go. Hope it helped 😊)
