I will be onboard in December! It will be my second Carnival Cruise, and first time visiting the Caribbean! What did you eat at the Bonsai? Great video, and info.
Oh, how exciting! This trip was also our second Carnival cruise (3rd total). I think you will love the Caribbean! We ate at the Bonsai Teppanyaki restaurant (the non-sushi side) for lunch. I had the pork belly yakitori appetizer, kabuki salad with ginger dressing, the filet mignon and lobster tail combo, and the chocolate bento box. It was so much food, don't be surprised if you can't finish it all! 😅 I hope you have a wonderful cruise!

I was not impressed with my steak on our Elegant night. It was tough. The service took to long, we were almost late for our show.
That's a bummer. I'm not a big steak person, so I didn't try any. Our servers were really great the first time, so we requested them at dinner each night. I enjoyed the non-steak options. I hope you enjoyed your other meals!

I just did the same cruise in April 2024 on the Horizon and I LOVED IT!!!!!!! THE ABC Islands is amazing and I'm planning on doing this again in 2026. I'm already booked on the Carnival Celebration for the end of December 2024 and for also to celebrate my youngest son's 26th Birthday, and I have a week long cruise book on the Carnival Magic for July 2025. Thanks so much for sharing your video.

Why do you have to put beans or pie weights in? Never heard of pie weights
Hello! Great question! I like to blind bake or partially bake my empty crust first before adding the filling to avoid sogginess. Pie weights, beans or lentils help prevent the crust from puffing up during the blind bake.
