    We are over run with tourists. Please respect the size of our town, tourists are consumers, you spend on hotel and restaurants. However, nothing is returned to the towns people. If you visit a small town please realize that you crowd out the people who live here. Think about it.

    Alex & MJ, your accents hint "French Canadian", are you from Montreal? Any Bigfoot sightings on either island? MJ is delightful.

    Thanks for this. You answered all the questions people ACTUALLY ask. Instead of making a video that looks “cool” but contains mostly useless info - which sadly described most “influencer” travel videos. Good job 👏 🙏

    **** @alex & MJ - On the GO, you did not mention anything about people using alternative transit and accommodations! What if people dont have a car? cost? transportation, etc?? Hours of stores open? what to do in evening? It is not very detailed, but I know you tried.

    What are the odds of getting attacked by a brown bear or a mountain lion? How do you protect yourself?

    • @reverendaljones45
      @reverendaljones45 8 місяців тому

      the chance of being attacked is slim to none, as to protection some might have bear spray, for all the places i have hiked in southwestern b.c. i have never seen a firearm carried by anyone ever and in any provincial park in canada they are not allowed anyways.

    This used to be named after my ancestor. Picture as soon as pull up the Wikipedia article. It's an environmental diversity paradise in one small island. It also was a Vietnam War draft dodger haven. That's what part of the local population. It's becoming expensive "elites", but was a bohemian artistic place.

    Nanaimo is a beautiful city of over 100 thousand people with beautiful parks, beaches and a beautiful harbour. Port Alberni is a nice little town as well. The Island has way more to offer than just Tofino.......lol Sadly its always the tourist traps that get all the attention.

    Just a heads up: it's illegal to fly a drone in a provincial park in British Columbia and you can be fined up to $20k. This is to protect the wildlife from being disturbed

      Being eaten alive by other animals might be “disturbing” to wildlife too. Lets just ban nature altogether.
