What would be more humiliating for Violet?? To inflate into an oversized fully ripe blueberry and get hauled off by little men, or turn into an oversized fully ripe blueberry and get rolled around for five or six minutes by little men who can't seem to get your blueberry body to roll back and forth. The second option seems best if you're going for a slow burn of an effect. (got this idea from Veruca Salt herself 😉)
I recently read an interview someone did with Denise on Violet's inflated demise. The scene had been shot over the course of one day, but the Oompa Loompa actors would actually roll her blueberry suit around enough to send her crashing into the wall. They had close to fifty takes, but the final cut had Violet as a blueberry rolled once across the floor. I've always wondered on cases like this if Willy Wonka will ever end up with an extended cut, but Violet's inflation scene should've been a minute longer, at least. It would be sort of funny if they had rolled her around liked an oversized beach ball for two or three minutes, singing about how wide she got.
I always thought her scene was too short!

If you ask me, sure sounds like you've taken Violet's transformation scene a little out of context. Most folks watching Willy Wonka probably aren't thinking about where their hands are going as they roll the young lady away. What's surprising to me is how this movie is a pop culture icon, but when it comes to parodies, there really are only a couple versions of Violet's blueberry transformation in other movies and or TV shows. What goes through my mind is, why hasn't anyone tried to do a more realistic version of Willy Wonka?? Yes, the movie and the book are for kids, but tell it from both the kids AND the adult's perspective. A chocolate factory to a child is HUUUUGE! An adult walks in and can spot the quirks and the furnishings.....I'm just sayin.....

I think Wonka secretly meant for her to take the gum Why else would he turn his back after playing it up to be the most amazing fabulous sensational gum in the whole world He needed a new guinea pig to test the gum on because testing it on the oompa loompas was costing him his labor force So he chose Violet to experiment on her Of course she won't be so willing to chew it after the first time now knowing the consequences So he will have to force her to chew it and blow her up against her will
I've always fantasized about seeing Lana Del Rey or Emma Roberts blowing up like a blueberry if you could do a deepfake of either of them for this scene 😍 I mean like the whole scene Not just their faces in one small bit of it

The waddling is my favorite part, wish they had made it a little longer, like showing her trying to get away but finally realizing she can't as she looks at the Ooompa Loompas helplessly. The part where she is flapping her hands at them as they try to rock her, if you look closely at her facial expressions during that part, you can see her mouthing the word "Shoo!". when she is being tipped backwards, right before her feet leave the ground, you can see her eyes get wide and her face is shocked as she realizes she is being taken off her feet and is going to be rolled, taking away her mobility and independence. I think it was also a shock to her, as I think she didn't hear what Wonka said about being rolled to the Juicing Room, it would explain her reaction, why she looked so confused when the Ooompa-Loompas were circling her and why she was so surprised when they tipped her backwards. also love how her collar pops up like like the petals on a blueberry. or how her feet hang limply in the air as she's rolled around. and how her hair flips in her face as she's rolled.
And when she starts flapping her hands they stop tipping her for a second and then when she stops flapping they just continue to tip her over And when they close-up on her face just before they roll her it looks like she is trying to spit the gum out I love how when she is rolled back toward the front doors her feet are pushed out and her hands are pressed in against her body for a second before she goes limp again It's like she can feel the juice surging inside of her body and she is trying to hold herself together to keep from exploding
@@thomasbaron5367 her hands pressed up against her massive round body is mostly to keep them tucked in while she is rolling, then goes limp again once she stops, she did the same thing when she was tipped backwards off her feet, relaxing her hands once she was on her back, the only time she didn't do that was the first time she was rolled, she put her hands straight out trying to stabilize herself as she rolled, but realized it did very little once the Oompa-Loompas caught her. Looking closely at the part where she is flapping her hands and the OL's are trying to rock her. She rocks forward on her own before the OL's grab her and does her first flap, then as she is flapping her hands for the second time, they are righting her. she made the same motion right before she started to waddle, showing that she was going to try and waddle again(possibly to try and get away) but the OL's stopped her, which would make sense why she was flapping her hands at them, trying to shoo the OL's away so they would let her go.

@@SebastianRangel-j8k Violet basically goes limp once she is laid down on her back, after the OL's take her off her feet (about 2:18 into the scene). You can see the expression on her face at that point, where she has just resigned herself to whatever is going to happen, knowing that she lost her mobility and her ability to resist, she is now completely helpless. That is why she shows virtually no movement afterwards, she knows she screwed up big time, and lets the OL's just roll her away, hoping they are going to take her somewhere to get fixed and put back to normal, so she is no longer a giant human blueberry. I bet that last part where her Dad says "I've got a blueberry for a daughter!" really hit her hard, showing that even her father no longer saw her as a girl or even human, she was just a blueberry. Violet definitely got the worst punishment of all the kids, and she was the only one present for her song.

You could do a secret dialog video Like a subtext kinda thing What is going through Violets mind as she's being pumped up? Could she feel the juice surging in her? What is she thinking as she's blowing up out of control? What her father is thinking as he's watching his little girl being blown up against her will What Wonkas real plan was for Violet since he didn't really seem to care when he took the gum Use subtitles on the screen to illustrate their thoughts 🙂 I think that would be an interesting idea
I also love how she waves her hands as she's being rolled to try to stop herself from rolling And how she's trying to squeeze her legs together after her surging crotch bursts her belt She could feel everything 😍 And how it looks like she's trying to spit out the gum in her close-up just before they roll her ❤ And Wonka also cracked half of a smile while Violets father was begging for him to let the air out of her I think he enjoyed what the gum was doing to Violet
@Tobehonest628 I love how they're just taking their sweet time rolling her and taunting her even after Wonka warns her father that she could explode at any minute if she is not squeezed IMMEDIATELY And I love how they just ignore her helplessly flapping her hands as they start to roll her They do hesitate for a second as she starts flapping but then they continue just as if to say "don't worry, she can't stop us now." And the way she tries to squeeze her legs together after her belt pops and then the juice forces her to blow up just a little bit faster and her arms are pushed up higher It's like the gum is fighting back and letting her know that the more she struggles the quicker she'll blow up and the higher the risk of exploding So there really is nothing she can do to stop what's happening to her And you can see how she presses her hands in against her body as they roll her at one point It's like she can feel the juice surging inside her and she is trying to hold herself together to keep herself from exploding There are so many small details I've watched this scene so many times in my life I love it!
I've always had a theory that the juice in the gum actually transformed Violet from human into a blueberry. For example, from the beginning of her chewing the gum to the end, Violet's words become less and less until there are none when she's fully transformed into an it, a giant round blue fruit. I love this scene, tone, and transformation so much!🫐💙

It's definitely better this way than what was in the actual movie. Violet, in reality, would've been in a panic during the entire process just as she is here 🙂
If you are making another video, can you have the dad begging and complaining when she is fully inflated and being rolled instead of beforehand?
Expanding yourhorizons,please let us know when you are going to upload it for him and me and if you have hard times deciding how to do it,you have to decide for yourself and anything is possible if you believe and i know you can do it and there is always much and and hope and also remember this,anything is possible if you believe in what you can do and 8 know you can do it because it only takes a little self confidence and if you put your mind into it,you can aaccomplish anything.
Could you do another edit that focuses on just the dialogue between Violet, her dad and Wonka? And maybe edit it to look like Wonka blows the whistle to start her inflation? with some rubber or latex stretching sounds to make it sound like her body is expanding faster the second time Wonka blows the whistle when she screams? :)
