Is this even the SAME EXACT video Matthias was reacting to? Somehow I have doubts.

How in anyway is the better than an old fashioned plunger? If it's not sealed properly, it will leak. ...Or your hands might rip through it. It's nastier than a regular plunger as more surface area gets wet and will drip more as you remove it. If it's a bad clog, it will back dirty water back up into the tank, eww. If it's a really bad clog and you need a plumber, you will be stuck with a toilet with enough water to explode, even if that thing doesn't eventually start leaking, the plumber or you would need to carefully cut that and drain the water back to a normal level while catching it im a bucket. A traditional plunger also interacts with the clog more and breaks it up more. This is even worst for the environment as these look like they are single use and if they aren't, eww. They also require another flush to fill the bowl when normal plungers usually don't require that.
