iRacing - V8 Supercar - Brands Hatch (wet/damp)
Friday Euro SOF at Brands Hatch on a wet track. There were no puddles and no rain forecasted in first 30 mins so starting on slicks seemed the way to go. I quallied on slicks but wets were still superrior.
Sunny D car started on wets and seemed to have good start but plummeted like a brick after 2-3 laps.
Hardest part was trying to go faster as the track started to dry more and more. Very easy to just stick to wet lines and braking points but you have to start pushing wider and being more agressive on the throttle.
Made a few mistakes so I lost my team mate ahead and just ended up lapping alone in P3. Car that was previously on wets pitted early for slicks and undercutted me massively (+ had pace advantage). Which made me end up in P4 racing my delta bar.

Decided to join a Saturday race and no regret! Long battle through the first stint, jumped the 2 leaders and got out ahead. Only the tyre drop off is massive and the one lap tyre dissadvantage was apparant. Had to defend quite hard for the remainder of the race (hence TV cam).

Somehow I start to like the challenge of rain.. You're kinda used to the low grip and wheelspin in these cars that rain isn't that much worse haha

Finaly we have gen 3 in iRacing. Feels quite different compared to gen 2. Finaly I start to learn how to drive in the rain. Quite a challenge, but a welcoming one! No team paint yet at time of this recording, but the new paint is chef kiss!

Some of my final laps in the gen 2 V8 Supercar. One of the, if not THE best car iRacing has to offer. I had a great time in the Mustang and looking forward to the new gen 3. Lets hope they are as good as these ones or even better!! (I wanted to include some burnouts and donuts, but ran out of fuel D: )

One of my best races in the V8ESC league, sadly made some small mistakes which probably costed me my first win :( Still, a 2nd spot on the podium in front of the championship leader is a victory on itself!

One of my best races in this car. I managed to stay in somewhat striking distance of the championship topdogs :D Solid 3rd place!! (only 6 people showed up so that kinda makes it a bit less of an achievement...)

Nice 20 car grid! Couple of cars qualyfied in front of me as their fresh tyre laps where faster than mine, but I had the advantage on anything longer than that and had to claw my way back..too late to really work on the boss to get by.

It's dark out there.. pitch black dark!! Hard to see the apexes, but managed to string a lap together. (tracktemp 19 °C, Race fuel)

Managed to get my PBs during qually of Friday SOF race. 1:19.617 and 19.622 back to back. Somehow still 0.5s off pole!!!

Nice job, I tried this track the other night for first time. Took a bit of learning! not a bad track when you get the hang of it!
Keep up momentum and keep the corners tight. So easy to just loose tenths in 1 corner.
What lap times you hitting Bram?
1:13.5 or a bit above is my current best, don't know by heart anymore. But still learning the track. Yours? Already started practicing? A lot of time to gain on accelerating out of the corners over the crests. A lot of fun doing laps here. Also a lot more overtaking opurtunities compared to Knockhill that's for sure!
First practice tonight. Managed a 1:14.2 but optimum is down in mid 1:13. Bit of set up work to do. Can’t decide between staying in 4th or going to 5th through the esses towards end of the lap. Plenty of work to do before Friday
I was cooling down in the Boost Mobile Mustang (0:56 sec). That was an exhausting race. Well done Bram.
Finished 9/14. But I don't care, I had so much fun! I made some mistakes, you made some. I kept seeing you on my relative and I was not really pulling away that much. Eventhough I was lapping hard trying to catch Miro. You had some nice consistancy as well Chris! I guess by the end of this season we'll be glued to each other's bumper ;)
