I remember being there as an eight year old and losing my shit in the last quarter. lol
💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛 💛💛💛💛💛BO💛💛💛💛💛💛 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛 29.4.2024
Great rhythm , away from his usual Bo Diddley rhythm
Be a different game umpired under today's rules! Great game from Kickett, Salmon, Sporn, the Nhill boys and even Ted Considine!!
Bo Diddley his stuff man was Electric.. I think he should have gotten way many more accolades than he did in his lifetime.. awesome dance music almost too powerful. I freaking loved it !!!
He had such charm and humour , I saw him live and spoke to him after the show he was the perfect gentleman ...love you Bo
❤ Bo Diddley he is awesome
For a man that was an innovator this was not one of Bo’s best clips. The band looked bored and didn’t rock but Bo still gave it his all.
I was there that day magnificent win by the mighty bombers ❤🖤❤🖤
Bo spent a lot of time in Australia at one point...a few years after this performance,he was playing in Cambridge Ma, Harvard square, a dive called Jonathan Swift's,a freezing cold weeknight..he was camped out at a front table , enjoying the opening set of his pickup band, and meeting some fans,too...at one point ,a little lady came up,and Bo did a double take then jumped up and hugged her, visibly moved.. then he explained that this was his Australian friend,"Joan King", whose family he stayed with sometimes when down under.Completely coincidental that she was at a local hotel and saw in the paper that he was playing nearby.. Bo traveled the world and made friends everywhere, there was always a welcome mat out for him, wherever he went.
Awesome. Boston native here. I remember Jonathan Swift's. I saw John Mayall there.
Bo worked his ass off when her performed. Watch "Let the Good Times Roll" where he performs "Bo Diddley-Itis" The dudes intensity was off the charts.
He loved playing on squared shaped guitars. It's cool he'd mentioned the pioneers of Rock Music. Many have covered his songs on records or public performances like Buddy Holly and the Doors. Others have paid tribute to him like the Animals and in fact he met them on a tour to England.
What a legend ❤️🎸
It's nice of him to credit Bill Haley, I wouldn't have expected it.
The clothes are all the rage!
I saw him on that tour in 1975. He played at the Coogee Oceanic Hotel when i saw him.
"Beveridge gets past the two colored boys" Different times.
17 seconds Paul salmon pull his shorts down
Chuck may have had the immortal characteristic, but this guy was a badass whose music I enjoy considerably more
4:22 "he got around the two coloured boys" WTF?
Yeh bro Iv always thought the same
Imagine now Wasn’t that long ago really
Wtf is wrong with that though? Different colour, still a human bieng. Commies crying again?
Mark of the times for sure.
I was like 😮 . Far out.
Rock on!.
I can't remember this game? But WTF???? Biggest comeback win in history!!!
69 points vs North Melbourne round 16 2001
With the great Russell Moran on guitar. Fabulous!
I was at this game, just behind the goals at the end we were kicking to in the last quarter. I remember a few of us were saying at 3 quarter time, '10 goal last quarter boys!! We weren't really serious, just hopeful. Then the Bombers fired up bigtime! I remember starting a chant from behind the bombers cheer squad, that had the entire southern stand chanting in the last quarter. I don't think the cheer squad was too pleased, not sure why though. Go Bombers!
Rock On!.
Essendon 18 16 124 Melbourne 19. 9 123
Love that last bit. God I love that fool. Have done for 50 years
He got his groove on.
Holy SH*T!! I can't even imagine how amazing it must've been like to see Bo play in what looks like such a tiny venue. What a shame the audience seem about as excited as a pile of bricks. Absolutely incredible sound quality too
And the band were like zombies, too. Poor Bo, but he just played for himself, cuz really awesome, as always
@@elliegotfredson3712 Yep, that band is an absolute embarrassment. Just as well Bo's star power leaves those drongos in the dust.
@@samantha5460 Yep, when Bo gets the right band and audience, magic happens!
He must have played in a couple of places. I was 18 and went with my partner. We was all going wild dancing and singing with him was best night of my young life. Funny you mention the size of the venue it also surprised me. Also people were squeezed in like sardines up near the stage it was like a sign of respect to the artists people were so focused on the magic on stage then you had people like me up the back dancing their hearts out. Till the very last song.
@@denisebradley1216 wow, what a magical memory. It sounds like you had a sensational night! I am so envious :-)
The back pocket kicks the winning goal. Classic
Gosh, that K-Rock era was good for those few who heard it.
Where is this filmed, Sydney - Town Hall is it confirmed 75.
@12:46 And don't forget! It's in your hands! Concentrate.... or kill! :O
Lousy audience and stage ......
5 or 6 or 7 hahaahha
Real cool Digging this
I see Nigel Planer from The Young Ones on the Fender.
I was there with my dad, brother and uncle. That last quarter was incredible! When Kickett took that mark on the goal line, I nearly fell off the top level of the Great Southern Stand! I still get chills watching it.
Shocking loss by the Demons. Good video though!
"coloured boys"? How racist. You can't say that now.
I was at this game, rewatching this in 2019, that is real jarring
At 5:35, "slow as treacle", lmao
This is just a great video all round.
I was at this game. I was 6 years old.
Essendon 18.16.124 (Goals: Salmon 7, Somerville 3, Terry Daniher 2, Wanganeen 2, Ezard, Flood, Long, Wallis) defeated Melbourne 19.9.123 (Goals: Lyon 5, Sullivan 3, Pickering 2, Stynes 2, Williams 2, Beveridge, Cuthbertson, Healy, Brett Lovett, Schwarz). From 47 points down early in the last quarter, Essendon kick the last 8 goals in the game to record an amazing win. That type of comeback in a footy match is rare these days.
It was rare back then too...why must everyone always say 'these days' as if the game as gone to shit when it hasn't.
This looks great for 1975 before my time but my grandpa....
RIP Mr Football.
FISH!!!!!
I was at this game with my father - I said to him at three-quarter time that we would still win the game...he and everyone around me laughed. I had the last laugh 30 minutes later. It was pretty clear on the day in the last few minutes of the third quarter, that Melbourne were spent, so I just had a feeling.
Love it I remember listening on the radio 📻 to it calling my dad once we were back in the game after every time we scored a goal Then we purchased the vhs 📼 when the bombers released it Good call ☎️ by you
really enjoyed this do you have the full game message me at i.motion@hotmail.com
