For a man that was an innovator this was not one of Bo’s best clips. The band looked bored and didn’t rock but Bo still gave it his all.

Bo spent a lot of time in Australia at one point...a few years after this performance,he was playing in Cambridge Ma, Harvard square, a dive called Jonathan Swift's,a freezing cold weeknight..he was camped out at a front table , enjoying the opening set of his pickup band, and meeting some fans,too...at one point ,a little lady came up,and Bo did a double take then jumped up and hugged her, visibly moved.. then he explained that this was his Australian friend,"Joan King", whose family he stayed with sometimes when down under.Completely coincidental that she was at a local hotel and saw in the paper that he was playing nearby.. Bo traveled the world and made friends everywhere, there was always a welcome mat out for him, wherever he went.

He loved playing on squared shaped guitars. It's cool he'd mentioned the pioneers of Rock Music. Many have covered his songs on records or public performances like Buddy Holly and the Doors. Others have paid tribute to him like the Animals and in fact he met them on a tour to England.

I was at this game, just behind the goals at the end we were kicking to in the last quarter. I remember a few of us were saying at 3 quarter time, '10 goal last quarter boys!! We weren't really serious, just hopeful. Then the Bombers fired up bigtime! I remember starting a chant from behind the bombers cheer squad, that had the entire southern stand chanting in the last quarter. I don't think the cheer squad was too pleased, not sure why though. Go Bombers!

He must have played in a couple of places. I was 18 and went with my partner. We was all going wild dancing and singing with him was best night of my young life. Funny you mention the size of the venue it also surprised me. Also people were squeezed in like sardines up near the stage it was like a sign of respect to the artists people were so focused on the magic on stage then you had people like me up the back dancing their hearts out. Till the very last song.

Essendon 18.16.124 (Goals: Salmon 7, Somerville 3, Terry Daniher 2, Wanganeen 2, Ezard, Flood, Long, Wallis) defeated Melbourne 19.9.123 (Goals: Lyon 5, Sullivan 3, Pickering 2, Stynes 2, Williams 2, Beveridge, Cuthbertson, Healy, Brett Lovett, Schwarz). From 47 points down early in the last quarter, Essendon kick the last 8 goals in the game to record an amazing win. That type of comeback in a footy match is rare these days.

I was at this game with my father - I said to him at three-quarter time that we would still win the game...he and everyone around me laughed. I had the last laugh 30 minutes later. It was pretty clear on the day in the last few minutes of the third quarter, that Melbourne were spent, so I just had a feeling.
