Guest a lukewarm personality at best. Only funny in movies.

  • @JK-br1mu

Carlin ran straight into the iceberg of God, which kinda ruined his whole argument. Shoulda stayed with the "people are stupid" line, which was funnier, if inaccurate.

Dennis Miller lost his mind & his comedic talent after 9-11-01. He’s in Trump’s cult now & became everything he use to condemn in the 1990’s.

I love late night. Always have. Carson, Arsenio, Letterman. The list goes on. That's network, though. Why is "popular late night" on network, yet, the good shit, like Dennis, is on HBO, and only accessible if you had the channel back then? I applaud Miller for being on a premium pay cable channel. I simply don't understand the reason. To flip logic, Late Night ISN'T family TV, so, if I had a late night show back then, being on HBO or any premium cable channel would have been amazing. Makes me think of Chelsea Handler w Chelsea Lately when it was on E! Network ♥️

@theelementgirl4165 I totally agree. Everybody knows George Carlton was a genius, but very few people know. Dennis Miller was probably the most underrated comic of the 80s both of them lines just rinsing the look on George’s face when he was explaining stuff to him and he knew already, but George was saying was unique to look on Denises face when George was saying something he felt exactly the same way thank you for posting this

This I believe is the last episode of Dennis Miller Live. It appears that once Bill Maher became available the prior month, they decided to go with the comedian w/ a more palatable LA political perspective. Its a shame for Dennis.

Miller's big issue, as evidenced by the monologue here, is that we weren't rushing into war with Iraq quickly enough. Even most Republicans now consider that to have been a terrible mistake. Miller was clever in his time, but that's some perspective.

I came for Guest but had to sit and frown while listening to 15 long minutes of some so-called “comedy” without a single laugh. Saying a lotta words in a snarky voice in lieu of actual jokes is very annoying. But he is clearly very impressed with himself. I’m pretty sure frowning is the opposite of laughing.

Dennis tells a fat guy off 20 years ago -- what would he say to the 1/3 of the country now that are obese? Americans are eating themselves into bad health. Eating is not a sport or entertainment. It's fuel and nourishment for the body. Period.

Indeed, WE decide what is good and moral in a society. As a perfect illustration: Russia Vs. America (or Canada). In Russia being gay is a serious offence. In North America, it’s not. We decide murder and rape is wrong but in other countries, women have less rights and rape is essentially legal. We don’t wish to be killed, so we make a rule against killing. Not to mention that no society has thrived that allows these things. It’s an evolutionary advantage. Nuff said.
