Surprised to see you kept working on the mod

For anyone still watching this video, the real name of the game is Syobon Action (or Shobon-No-Action), people was just lazy to translate the japanese title xd. The cat you play as is named Shobon （´・ω・｀) and the enemy cat you see in the castle is named MORALAR, not onion king, not bynsion, not whiskers, he's called Moralar （　・∀・）but because of bad translation they ended up being named Syobon and Molalla. And i saw a comment confuse him with another cat named Mona, but Mona has this face （　´∀｀）. The goomba enemies are called Jisakujien and are soppused to look like this （・∀・）and the robot enemy is soppused to be Defrag-san, a tiny robot that moves data around, but the one in the Syobon Action game was already very inaccurate in design so that explain it's appearance in this mod, but it's soppused to have this face (,ﾟДﾟ), which is a open mouth, not a big grin. If you are curious you can look up for 2channel characters, just spreading this info in different Syobon Action videos so people can know about it's origins.

Since I have been replaying the MnL games again I actually can say that, upon replaying both, I still prefer Partners in Time. A lot of it does boil down to my preference torwards dark scifi and also just the battles of PiT, since they aren’t rlly short (like Superstar Saga, granted i find it amusing when the fights r short), and they don’t take me long (like BiS, and I swear I am not bad at it). Theyre jus the perfect length imo. Least. Theyve always felt that way, plus theyre p unique. Swiggler makes use of the Dr Shroob enemies thst the player encounters in the vim factory, Sunnycide has the egg and Yoshi mechanic, the Elder Princess Shroob uses the Shroobs’ UFOs as ammo, etc… Like i can see why ppl adore BiS so much but ig when a game gets hyped up to u for so long as “peak”, it ain’t gonna live up to them expectations. Having said all that, glad to see some ppl like PiT as much as I do, because dang. Partners in Time rules.

Something I noticed is that I’m pretty sure jump and hammer are different buttons, because every time there’s a button prompt for hammers (except in battles), it’s for x and y, while prompts involving jumping use a and b. Anyways, I’m really excited for this game its so cool and unique and it’s animation and AAAAAaaaaajajsodosujdisosowofncncjeirofifjjfodoso :3

I personally prefer BIS to PiT mostly but there are aspects I like more from PiT like the overworld areas, tho SS stands above both of them for me. I will give a few reasons I prefer BIS: - While I do prefer PiT’s areas, I don’t like how they’re connected, yes that tired old criticism. But I don’t just mean how all the areas are disconnected but also how even the subareas within are disconnected by those blue pipes. - Boss roster has more variety with a good mix of Fawful affiliated and unaffiliated bosses. Sure some are semi-random creatures and robots but others aren’t like midgame Bowser, Wisdurm, Memory Bros, Peach’s Castle, Midbus (both fights), Dark Star (1st fight), Dark Fawful (1st fight) and obviously the final boss. I like PiT’s roster but it does feel a tad samey with all the Shroob looking bosses. - PiT’s story is a bit too linear to me with the single overarching goal of getting the Star pieces. I like the twists sure but BIS’s is more dynamic with Fawful not even knowing about the Dark Star for half the game and the extremely active finale (also the curing Blorbs and Bowser getting his castle back plotlines don’t happen at the same time. Also the ticking clock criticism of the sock segment could apply to lots of stories including to basically every segment in the PM series. Also also the brainwashed Fawful final boss theory is just a headcanon not canon, he’s even seen upset when it takes him out of Bowser and still acts just like himself which is not how the Dark Star acts at all so there's a strong case that he isnt). I personally don’t think Fawful got overshadowed at all, the true fight that decided the fate of his plan was his fight with Bowser, after that he’s stuck in Dark Bowser as a parallel to the Bros inside Bowser. Besides the finale I prefer SS to both for how active it’s plot is tho with killing Cackletta halfway in, getting elemental powers, Popple and Rookie, Luigi’s mini-adventure and all that.

I feel PIT is too short and reeks of early DS games. I wish PIT would’ve used the present day mushroom kingdom more than the past version. I can see the bones of bowsers inside story here but I think the themes and combat is better than bowsers inside story. I think this game could’ve used a remaster that fleshed out PIT and it would’ve made it one of the best Mario RPGs.

I appreciate this video. PIT keeps getting crapped on time and again, and I've gotten sick of it. While I'll agree that BIS is the Better game overall, it wouldn't even EXIST if PIT didn't lay down the foundation first. All 4 face buttons, the touchscreen (even if it was just one sequence), dual-screen battles, etc.!

Don't worry, I like Partners in Time more than Bowser's Inside Story too

Would’ve put Dream Team in S tier but I respect your tier list BiS being in the tier it was surprised me because that’s generally accepted as being the best in the series
