This was my first game and still love hearing it , despite being in my 4th consecutive season ticket holding season
why don’t they play this as a prematch anthem?
I agree with the last guy we should play it every game
Massive respect for Sunderland. Such passionate fans. From a Celtic supporter HH 🙏🇮🇪
This brings gooce bumps everytime the live adnd devotion but mostly the Sunderland spirit his grandad would have been so bloody proud of him we all know this much love to the main man
#SunderlandTillIDie🔴⚪️
this is sooo nice and kind of you john your passion for football and for the SAFC team and ngl loved the Netflix series Sunderland till i die got me attached to it teh clubs history and the peoples love to the team and passion and its oo kwel and cute of you recording this song i fell soo attachted to this song as if i am SAFC fan it brings tears in my eyes very nice n kind of you john
Maybe play Cold Play's 'Don't Panic' when they finish 3rd to 6th after game 46 next year.
Villa fan here, this song is absolutely fantastic & encapsulates the people off their football club, massive respect for Sunderland big club with tremendous support & loyal fans that have been through the ringer supporting their club, i thought we’d had it bad suffering relegation but compared to them ours was nothing, hope you guys get back to where you belong *THE PREMIER LEAGUE!* Up The Villa 💜💙
NUFC supporter here, this is absolutely the best song I’ve ever heard a club be associated with. Who ever decided this to be the song deserves the world. I absolutely love this song.
I am a Newcastle United fan of 28 years plus and I love Newcastle. I however should see Sunderland as our rivals. I do not anymore. There are times we have supported one another. The Sunderland fans and club helped us immensely during Liam and John's untimely and very sad death in 2014 and when poor Bradley Lowery, the young brave bairn died so tragically and poignantly in 2016 when my beloved Newcastle United put the lovingly from NUFC on his Sunderland shirt he wore with so much proud. Of course, I love Newcastle and want us to beat Sunderland in games, but after watching this Netflix documentary about these amazing Sunderland fans and club, the rivalry will never be the same. Sunderland fans have had to rebuild from the ground up and I sincerely hope next season we will play you in a Tyne Wear derby. It's been too long. Howay the lads, and haway Sunderland. Lots of love Gary.
I'm a Liverpool fan, but my father in law, wife, and eldest son are Sunderland fans so I go to the Stadium of Light a few times a year. I love the club, the passion and the people and Sunderland 'til I Die perfectly captures why. The things we have in common are bigger than the football rivalries that divide us and that must never be forgotten.
Well said. I'm from Sunderland and the one thing I've never been fully on board with is the fervent hatred of Newcastle I'm supposedly supposed to have. Newcastle is a great city (definitely better to look at than Sunderland) and the Geordies I've known and worked with have all reinforced the commonality we all share. The football is just a bit of banter at the end of the day. But the North East is a stronger region if we all support the people of it.
Top lad. I am a mackem but have respect for all of the north east
Beautiful song this heard it on the Sunderland documentary can’t believe I’ve not heard it before it’s stunning 🤩
Most beautiful song I’ve ever heard
I am here, because of Netflix, but I would like to visit this stadium and watch a game, one day.
Not a single person in that stadium gave a fuck.
As a Fenerbahce fan, I respect to SAFC its very big club and their fans are pretty good. I watch Til I die and loved it! Hope you'll back PL SAFC!
es la mejor cancion la mejor serie vi nexflitx me enamoro fue epico es genial serie espero asciende este equipo espero ganas ir ver sunderland visitir su ciudad y gente y su cultura me enamora club fue epico.
New Sunderland fan from the Netherlands, I support also my local team (Roda JC Kerkrade, The miners). Would love to see them play agains The black cats in a friendly match😍 All the best in League One, hopefully one day you will promote back to the Premier League
how did this get nearly 60k views?
good memories
Imagine 49'000 Mackems belting this out. Would be Biblical
You're expression of passion for futbol across is different than here in the states for our native sports. Reminds me SEC football. Enjoying watching the pageantry of your community supporting your local club. When the $camdemic ends, I see myself checking this Stadium of the Light out. Thank you for posting this, John! Cheers!
I’m a Newcastle United fan and I hope we resume our derbies soon. Your documentary was just heartbreaking and heartening to watch you are a great bunch of fans don’t give up hope
Respect. From a Roma fan.
Sunderland Til i die from South Korea. Work Netflix for season 3
Wonderful absolutely wonderful- great songwriting
Magic.
Hoping to see crowds back at the games again.
What an atmosphere...
Sunderland supporter from Denmark, in love with the city and its supporters!
I'll never change my team, but if I could, I would choose SAFC, after watching the series and the last Premier League years, I can't do but stand up and clap for the fans, loyal to the end. I cried with the song and this video. Ha'way the lads!
Been watching the series on Netflix. Always knew about the team but seeing the passion of the supporters - Sunderland seems like an amazing community with a historic club, with people who truly live and die with the team. Much respect!
Best looser documentation on netflix ahahahh
Saddo
Good thing they won this game. Record attendance, Christmas, and a half time performance like this, would’ve been so awkward had they bottled it
Who else watched this when it was on Sunderland Til’ I Die....
Sunderland this game broke a all time league one attendance record at 46,000. I cannot imagine how amazing this must’ve been for anyone in attendance that day even if you were in the away end
U do know they lied about it
@@Jacob05 they weren’t. The attendance figure was 46,039 which trumps Leeds old record of 38,256 the game they got promoted against Gillingham.
@@unidentifiablesmurf7963 did u watch the Netflix doc? Not sure what episode but they had about 36k and the guy lied about it to get good press
@@Jacob05 I did. They will still counting at that point.
@@Jacob05 and even if it was “only” 36k, that’s still higher than most championship stadium capacities
Sunderland Til i die from México 🇲🇽🍻
Sunderland Til' I Die brought me here. Beautiful song.
I love that song
I'm a Sunderland fan and agree it should be adopted as our song
I'm a Newcastle fan and agree that you are shit
@@bigweeny69 such wonderful words and from the heart
@@paulmorrison4983 cheers mate really had to dig deep
@@bigweeny69 can’t wait to be back up and embarrass yas for the 7th time in a row
@@lukedoca im sorry but who is in league one? Sunderland
I’ve never seen such a lame song associated with a sports team. Talk about putting a stadium to sleep.
I think it's very good
Dude wth are you on about, the song is about coming from nothing and make it, and to make the people before you proud, the whole atmosphere around this song at the stadium is godlike, this song means so much for the Sunderland fans.
I owe my deepest sympathy for those who don’t understand the beauty of this song
You could not be more wrong
Your intelligence comes into question now
I’ve been so hooked on the Netflix series. You can really tell that the fans really live and breathe Sunderland
Yep
This HAS TO become their YNWA
No , wise men say is our song we sing before every game
@@sunderlandtillidie3281 I prefer this tbh. Has more meaning and unique.
@@sunderlandtillidie3281 I love wise men say, but i actually really agree with Rali, this should become our YNWA
@@sunderlandtillidie3281 You mean can’t help falling in love with you, not wise me say *LOL*
Chris Coleman is a true man for team. I think.
@7UCKY I know but... ://
yeah he seemed like a goad coach to me, to bad he's in china now
Piet Hein He hasn’t had a club since last May
Martin Longstaff is a phenomenal singer. Not many could hold such a big stadium and crowd well, especially with a relatively mild song. #SunderlandTilIDie
Sunderland are shit
👍😃😃
This game made me understand that lots of football decisions are payed for ! But shootout to sunder from nyc I hope y’all make it to the premiere
They went down to league one with back to back relegations. They are not coming back.
You see Newyorkcity24, Big Weeny is a Geordie (Sunderland's rivals) and they don't want Sunderland coming back to the Premier League (Even though it benefits the region as a whole) because in recent times they can't seem to beat Sunderland. 2 draws and 6 defeats if I'm not mistaken.
Good video stay safe
came here from sunderland til i die
bro didnt no they actually sung it just thought netflix made it up
this was in season 2 of sunderland til i die
oioi was in both mate, superb song!
Sidhant Raghuvanshi yeah mate just mean this actual performance on boxing day
oioi ooo on point
While that Charlie dude was going crazy to get the attendance statistics
Sean The Blue he’s an idiot that’s what he is
Would be quite cool if this became Sunderlands “You’ll Never Walk Alone”
I had a tear in my eye watching him
Imagine it being if they make it back to the premier league, so i hope!
Jaimie Hex I hope too
It would be too good! Anthem potential 👌🏾
Ours is wise men say
